Nexon steals from players again
Recently Nexon deleted a number of items that they determined were illegitimate. One example was the DotCurrenzy VSS. I don't have a problem with this, with one exception. Many people legitimately purchased these items in Nexon's MTS. If Nexon wants to delete the item, that's fine. But they should not be allowed to keep the money that was paid for them. Granted, the seller was credited the majority of the NX, but Nexon also received some NX for their "tax". And let's not forget that NX never leaves the game. It is always Nexon's profit.

Normally I'm all for plausible deniability, but the items were tagged by one of the game's most notorious dupers. I mean ... really?

It's fair. People we're too damn stupid to realize that what they we're doing was against the rules and thought it would make it right after a while... You guys should feel lucky that nexon didn't decide to go on a banning spree on the people who owned those items.

OBJECTION! It is nothing at all like marijuana. Marijuana is illegal in any form of use.* There are legit VSS.

What troubles me is how long Nexon waited to delete this 'illegitimate' equipment. We're not talking days or weeks; we're talking months.
Personally, I think it was a conscious decision by Nexon so that players would spend tons of money on NX cubing their equipment, only to have it deleted.

Guys look at like this after the first deletion and when their were rumors of it some people sold their VSS cheap to get rid of them. Imagine if you were some unsuspecting noob looking for a way to boost you range so you buy with all you money now your broke . Nexon is at fault there were literally thousands of duped items and they didn't do anything about it. However I also understand that you shouldn't buy it if its duped which in that case whoever bought it knowing full well is at fault. But think of it through the eyes of a new player before you say "OH ITZ YOU FAULT FO BUYIN DUPED EQUIPS."
You can't blame them LOL. Dupers used nexon's flaws to their advantage, and now they used us. Circle of Life honnay. I myself spent NX on cubing my 30 att Racc Mask, but I'm not complaining.
Nexon can do that, but we [i]all[/i] know that Nexon's actions weren't the best. At least they could've blocked any VSS trading in the MTS. They could've easily stopped this before it became extremely popular.

You could always make the items yourself, so youll know its legit. Unfortunately, many of the people who play this game try to get the best items in the game or at least try to be more competitive by purchasing items that are godly. This wont ever disappear in an mmorpg and neither will those who try to replicate rare or powerful items. I do not like the idea where criminals (the dupers) get away with this but blaming Nexon for it while posting threads like this on an unofficial website where the actual Nexon employees do not see it is not helping the matter any more than you may think. Why not bring this to the official site and try to have people who agree with you take a stand?
The real problem here, is that many of the same people who are in agreement with you also figure it is a waste of time and effort to contact Nexon about this issue because they may not have done anything about it before (even though they clearly have)... But this is why if many people keep the topic alive and keep at it, trust me, it will get their attention. In some instances, they have already been trying to fight duping and they still try to show that they care; We dont have as much a dedicated fanbase to actually do something rather than cry about it all the time. If this is the case and you arent willing to do more for the cause, then just stop causing drama in the community and spamming this site with hate.

Edit, Just read the message after the maintenance... Nexon is doing their freaking job. Would you prefer them not to give a damn at all then? They clearly removed items that needed to be removed and the fact that many have forgotten how bad MTS was before and still decided to buy from it anyways is rediculous on its own. If you lost mesos or NX then its your own fault, get over it, stop causing drama.
Saying you didn't know the item was duped is like saying you thought that marijuana in a bag were special herbs for cooking; and the seller is promoting environmental awareness

Nexon had every right to do it. People just don't bother following the ToS.

wait... no one found it odd when buying thos vss in mts that he was selling over 20 pairs that were completly alike... for not much considering the cost it would take to scroll all thos vss the same... i mean shoes for att cost what like over 200m for the 10% then you have to pass all the 10%s (and or chaos scrolls)
everyone could tell the vss were clearly duped... yet you people still payed up for duped(could even been hack scrolled) shoes from the mts
every one knew they were not legit items so if everyone knows they inturn accept the risk of and not limited to: being banned for owning them, having them deleted,or anything else

The only thing I'm a little upset about is how Nexon expects us to know whether an item is duped or not. I'm sorry, I didn't know 27 attack was impossible to reach.

first thing first, people know that the items will be deleted eventually. second, they are willing to pay a few hundred dollars for the hacked items

Nexon allows this duping to go on and then profits with all the people buying cubes to cube the duped gear for several months. Nexon removes the duped gear, everyone has to recube new gear. Nexon just makes me sick
At least let us keep the items with the potential, and just erase the atk on the items...
