Finding and buying a very very cheap gaming computer

Tis time for me to get a new computer to replace my laptop (Current Computer: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-DV6-2150US-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00318CG9G ) which has served me well but cannot satisfy my needs. I am very very very low on budget for a gaming computer about $300-$400 so I hope to either build one or buy one on Black Friday. This for future demanding games I'm going to play. I need it to run games like PlanetSide 2, Minecraft, League of Legends, Starcraft2, other FPS games, etc with no lag on medium settings maybe low smoothly . Pssst it also needs to be sexy looking with dem flashy LED lights.

I'm from California in the US so please don't send me sites from another country that won't deliver to here. Also please don't say $300-$400 is not enough and I'd require a lot more because then I would be very sad...

Note: this is just the computer no need for moniter, keyboard, or mouse I already have those. I AM ALSO WILLING TO BUILD A PC!

Thanks guys!

Edit:Correcting my grammar mistakes right now!

Horray! I also finished building my computer just right now however I can't seem to connect to the internet. It's wired from the modem to the desktop and the desktop recognizes the modem but the desktop says that the modem isn't connected to the internet.

Planetside 2 on full Low settings with an estimated framerate of 40-55 FPS.

It's a GeForce 9500 GT 1GB Video Card

The video card is what matters for gaming.

The big question for me is will it run Planetside2 well? Forget about the graphics card a bit.

The motherboard may need a BIOS update to recognize the CPU (AMD Vishera processors are new.) Hopefully, your motherboard is from a recent ASUS shipment and you won't have to do anything. In the worst case scenario when it doesn't even POST, you can RMA it and receive the same board with an updated BIOS or inquire at Fry's if they can do it for you.

Aside from that, all the components you have listed are compatible with each other.

My motherboard is a http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A97_LE_R20/ sorry about that I thought I put it in already. As for my graphics card I'm still waiting on my uncle.

I still can't answer your two questions regarding component compatibility and Planetside 2's playability. You haven't named your motherboard nor video card. A DVD drive is required to install Windows.

It's for desktop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-220-558&SortField=2&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

I matched the product I.D. and they're the same thanks for your concern though.

Laptop RAM (labled as SO-DIMM or SODIMM) is shaped so that it cannot be used on desktop motherboards.

Fry's website has 404'd for the time being and so I cannot look up the packaging of that specific product. However, if the packaging of the RAM you have is transparent, then you can visually measure the length yourself if you cannot identify if you have either laptop or desktop RAM. Desktop RAM is ~5 inches along its length and laptop RAM is roughly half that length.

Even with the information in that previous post, I wasn't able to completely determine if all your parts are compatible because you didn't list out the complete build.

Are you friggin serious? This is an extremely stupid question but will it work for desktop?
The box doesn't say anything about it being for laptop or desktop.

Oh and is everything else oki dokie?

Well thanks for the help everyone, I ended up getting some help from my family I love them so much. I was given Window 7 pro, 2 moniters, and a graphics card dunno which one yet.

I used my $400 on this

I think the price might've changed but I got a lot of discounts to make it to 400 because of Black Friday/November. Thanks everyone again.

Btw with the current specs of this ^ besides the graphics card would I be able to play games that require as much as PlanetSide2?

Cheap and good are hard to have at the same time. If you want cheap, reliable gaming experiences, just get an Xbox 360.

Why don't you just buy the parts for the build on Black Friday? It's not that far from now.

@ldiotcracy: Thought it said laptop in the title.

I would say for a good desktop then I would recommend around $900 because they have the best hardware.

Its easier to order one on cyberpc. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

It's a desktop. Doesn't have to be a laptop.

Planetside 2 or any of the popular FPS games (BF3, Crysis, CoD, CSGO) won't run well unless on the lowest settings if you are on a $400 budget.

Planetside 2 on <$400? Might be doable if you're willing to build it yourself and on lowest settings. I'm having crazy framerate dips right now with that one on a 6970, but then again I'm playing on high so I'm not totally sure how it'll run on lowest possible settings

You can't use "Good" "Cheap" and "Flashy" in the same sentence unless it's, I can't get a good cheap flashy gaming computer. You can get an okay Desktop for that money, that'll run LoL, MC fine on 32x32 for MC and Medium for LoL but don't expect it to be fancy or flashy, it'll be a black case, pretty much rectangular, with parts that work. Nothing more, unless you want to sacrifice preformance for looks.

I'm merely stating that it will need an Operating System.
If you are going to get that APU build, switch out that Coolermaster Elite with something else. It's crap.

That's a quick build I'd put together. You could save some money by getting the case off of Amazon for free shipping. You could also save a little bit more by going with 4GB of RAM instead. That should keep it at ~$400. However, it doesn't have an Operating System.
Thanks so much this is the build I'm going to make!

I'd like this a thousand times if I could sadly I can't even like yet e_e

How would this do? http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/AMD_FM2_A-Series_APU and this http://www.budgetbuildpc.com/300-apu-build-july-2012/ how much of a bigger upgrade would it be compared to my current laptop.

Fear not, alienware for only 2$!

Try to find someone who can build you a computer. A good computer that can run all of those games will only cost 400~500 to make depending on the deals you can get.

It doesn't have to be a laptop it can be a desktop and what about the build a computer considerations? Thanks for the responses though.

You can't just say you want a really good gaming laptop with LED lights with only $300-400 spending money and list low spec requirement games and "other fps". If you want to run something like Combat Arms and those games you mentioned, then maybe you can get a miraculously cheap deal on black friday from someone you know if you happen to be lucky.

If you want to play Battlefield 3 "with no lag on medium settings" and only $300-400 spending money don't even look at PC's. Just buy a console.
