How far can it take me

I stopped buying NX since a few months for no reasons. I don't have any addiction toward NX and it isn't neccessarily a must to enjoy my characters. Though, I spent tons of mesos on my weapon and I have about 50%dex (19k range). That being said, I wanna improve my damage consderably. I have 6-9%lv bowman gear.
With the money made in the past months, which goes up to 8k CAN $, I will spend 125k nx on new gear.
My question is how far can it get me and what should I exactly do to improve my damage the most.

If you already have mostly unique items with 9% DEX, stick with your gear. If you have low %DEX on all your items, get the Empress set.
My xbow ia the ipos atm! But should I cube the empress set, or recube my actual gear?
Considering how empress xbows are available for 400m (or up to 700m), maybe you can get one of them and get shielding scrolls (raise your diligence via smithing) and scroll them with the event scrolls (the 20%s of course, remake Jetts to lv 15, put scrolls into storage, rinse/repeat). I'm doing that with my current staff atm. Cube the xbow to a desirable stat.
However, 125k isn't too much and it's a waste to spend it all on just a weapon so... you might want to use another alternative. Sell the nx for some meso maybe? (125k is about 6-7bil in meso) You might want to consider getting the empress set.
