An Apology Letter

I haven't talked to my best friend/ex-girlfriend more than a year ago. I wanted to write an apology letter for putting her through all the misery she felt, but I don't want to seem weird talking to her more than a year later. Should I bother to write and send her a letter at all, regardless that we haven't talked since last year? Thanks

Just do it.
When my best friend ended our friendship I wrote her a mail half a year later and she responded and was very happy to hear from me and told me she was worried and she's glad I wrote her.
After a year it could be she's over the pain by now and she MIGHT be glad to hear from you after all.

I'm pretty sure SEX isn't censored.

Talk to her face to face. Don't send her a letter.

I think you should talk to her by whatever means possible. I know a friend of mine who recently had an ex-close friend talk to her and apologised; the aftermath being that both parties were happy

I don't talk to my friends for a long time, but then when I feel like chatting with them I do.
