Traded that 5 IV Rotom for a 5 IV Shiny Adamant/Blaze/Male/Outrage and Dragon Dance egg move/ Missing Def Lvl 1. Charmander!
@pinksinsftw: no matter how you spin it, you're still using a hacker tool that makes obtaining a shiny pokemon easier and take much less time. And this coming from you of all people (you like to show off your shinies), is a huge disappointment. When you show off your shinies, you make others think how lucky you are to get all those when in fact you just use a program that guarentees you a shiny. If you don't care about the rarity, and if you use this hacker tool (it hacks into the game data to give you that info so call it what it is), you should not be showing them off. Hell you shouldn't even be too excited. You knew it would be shiny if this dude hatched it.

@darkspawn980: I never said the pokemon was hacked. I said you are using a hacker tool. Yes I've seen a video about it from mulvone19. You are using a tool that digs into the game data to tell you exactly who to give the egg to and once that egg is hatched, it is guaranteed to be shiny. Every single egg you hatch is guaranteed to be shiny this way. Stop kidding yourself here.
if you want to call it what it is call it a peckat sniffer, it doesn't "hack" anything. if you're using the broad term of the word "hacking" as anything involving 3rd party programs then sure, but if you want to go into the technical aspect of it, it's not hacking.

she's been getting her shinies via in-game methods for generations, i'm currently masuda-ing for a shiny raltz because i want it to have my own OT.

you did say it was hacked, not that it matters much either way but:
That's all fine and dandy, but if that's the case, don't go telling people that someone was really nice and trustworthy because he gifted you a hacked shiny pokemon. I don't care for most shiny pokemon either, but c'mon. Gifting someone something that came from a hacker tool does not make anyone nice or trustworthy. It took no effort.
anyways, to explain how the program works, you have your internet and the game, when you go into a trade and "show" the pokemon, the program sees the information and translates it, but at no point does it touch or interfere with it, it's pretty much a "tapped" phone line, just via wireless.

my computer can't run the program, which is a shame because i'd like to be able to pop lists for people that want shinies without having to bother someone else (the phone tapping works if someone shows you his pokemon too, which is even more proof that you're just reading the wireless signal, not hacking the game)

@RockGod1: Seeing as you don't really care about shinies I don't get why you want so badly to preserve whatever's left of the value shininess can hold.
SV is a new thing. It'll eventually get around like IVs and EVs did.
I myself am not doing the SV method, actually. I hatch my own Eggs. I'd rather give up my TSV to service Shiny hatches for other people. Kinda brings out my cooperative side instead of just sticking to my game doing my own thing.
Hell, I don't even have the program installed because I'm using XP and it works on 7 and better.

This method only applies to Eggs. Not RE shinies, not chained shinies, but Eggs. So there's still room for excitement.

@RockGod1: ...it's not hacked, the egg is 100% legitimate, it wasn't modified in any way at all, did you even go see how the program works?

Don't you know how SV works? It's eggs you naturally generated from your own game being given to a player whose Shiny Value matches that of the Egg. Yes, there is a program that reads the SV, but that doesn't mean you're generating hacked Pokemon. It's more convenient than using the Judge to check your IVs and having to spend 200 hours getting a shiny. I too value them for their look and not just the rarity.
programs for shinies? Don't shinies have special value because they are supposed to be rare? Now you're using cheats to get shinies. What kind of accomplishment is that? Might as well not even catch your pokemon either. Just go use a pokemon creator tool. That's really all you're doing here.
this allows pretty much everyone to get competitive shinies, yeup. you could say they'd lose their value. but i don't want shinies because they're "oh so rare" but rather, because i like how they look.

and i like the multiplayer part of this, i don't mind pokegenners and stuff, but if you're gonna pokegen, you may as well just go and play pokemon showdown. this method still requires a bit of luck and a lot of help to get the shiny you want.

not probably, it was. seeing the better part of humanity in one of the worst cesspools of the internet. it's a beautiful dichotomy.

@RockGod1: why are you so antagonistic at the end? and the explanation is a bit... long, but there's a new program that allows you to know which egg will hatch shiny for which person, that guy had a mawile egg that if i hatched it, would become shiny, the program is named instacheck. and right now there's a massive series of threads on 4chen, where people hatch someone else's egg so that it's born shiny, and then give it back, for absolutely nothing.

http://imgur.com/Pp7iAhp

picture of my shiny mawile, i can also SS my pokedex for the shiny charmander that i hatched, and the guy even let me evolve it all the way to charizard so that i could have the pokedex entries as shiny.

Well, I finally got it! I finished Ev training it, and I finished its moveset. Also, I gave it the Held Item, and maxed out its affection in Pokemon Amie. It's level 51 now. It's lucky I have my trusty TM61!
I'm also collecting Ribbons on it! Currently, I have the Best Friends Ribbon, the Training Ribbon, the Effort Ribbon, the Footprint Ribbon, and the Alert Ribbon. I still need to get the Kalos Champion Ribbon, the other 6 weekday ribbons, and both the Battle Maison Ribbons.

Gen VI made breeding SO much easier. I mean, you don't even need all of the egg moves in a single male parent's moveset anymore! Know why? Because the MOTHER can pass on egg moves now too! Now fathers can pass on hidden abilities when breeding with Ditto, and you can cause 5 IVs to be inherited instead of just 3 by giving a parent a Destiny Knot. Furthermore, Pokemon that CANNOT breed are guaranteed to have at least 3 maxed IVs when caught, and Pokemon in the friend safari have 2! Want bred pokemon's boons, but not sure its worth ditching the Ball you want? Never fear, cause now, the baby will be in the same ball as the mom's!
I don't even get how trading IV bred pokemon works. How do you even know what you're getting actually has a certain number of max IVs? Ya they could say it does, but... ever heard of scammers?
there's also legit people you know? it's a risk, but IV breeding is so easy nowadays that -usually- you get what you're told.

heck, i just got gifted a shiny mawile egg.
What a coincidence! I'm working on breeding a Charmander similar to that! However, without the Dragon Dance, with Crunch, and missing Special instead of Defense. Why go for dragon dance when you probably won't last more than 2 turns anyway?
Good luck with your future Charizard!

I'm just about done too!

Currently, I'm working with two 4 IV charmanders:
Male: HP/Attack/Sp. Def/Speed/Blaze/Destiny Knot
Female: Attack/Defense/Sp. Def/Speed/Blaze/Everstone

When I'm done with it, it'll be:
Charizard:
Level 100 Male
Held Item: Charizardite X
IVs:
31 HP
31 Attack
31 Defense
31 Sp. Defense
31 Speed
EVs:
6 HP
252 Attack
252 Speed
Ability: Blaze
Moves:
Flare Blitz
Steel Wing
Outrage
Crunch

It will do nicely in my team build, I think.
