Basically if metaknight has 1 stock ahead he can stall the timer out. Which isn't hard to do considering metaknight is overpowered and fast

If you want to beat kirby use marth or any character that has a longer reach and can out space kirby.

In situations like those there isn't much you can do until you hit a certain percentage (or in the case of laser lock, fall off the stage).

If there are no such thing as OP characters can you explain the majority of Meta Knights winning tournaments. Not to mention places after 1st place are still taken by Meta Knight and the occassional Olimar or Ice Climber?

Ok, first of all, there's no OP character in Smash Bros. (I'm presuming you are talking about Brawl), there are only skilled players and unskilled players. Also, its easy to fight Kirby. The rock is easy to dodge, jump when they use the sword, use your long range moves on their uber punches. If you get hit by the hammer, you are just unlucky. 2nd of all, the only reason why you think Kirby is OP is because he is a mid-range character. he is good at both long and short range combat but excels at neither unlike Ike/Marth(short range) or Pit/Snake(long(ish) range). Kirby is second place in the 64 list.

Melee Kirby is horribad and Brawl Kirby is a OP Basic Brawl sweeper. Unless he spams. I sometimes wonder how people think they'll win by spamming an attack that takes 5 seconds to even perform. It disappoints me more when they don't know how to even cancel it earlier.

If I were you though, I'd just go Bowser and Down B them back.

Shouldn't be that hard. Generally you probably need more practice on sidestepping and dodging. You can harass Kirby easily from afar.

I play as kirby. He's actually ranked kinda low.
About the rock thing above, most kirby players don't go anywhere near that move, but if they do, that's a good way to get them.

What problems are you having with kirby?
@NekoChan: Isn't samus' one of, if not the slowest grab attack in the game. If they can't manage to dodge that then it's their fault.

Oh god TS is one of those whiny lil'sore losers. Kirby is not OP, on the tier list Kirby is in the E block ranked at 20. All you're doing is blaming a character for being "OP" as an excuse for lack of skill. I may find this a little more annoying than some people as I'm restricted in using pit most of the time, against friends when playing brawl, because apparently using Angel's Ring and the Arrow from time to time is considered spamming; which is even more annoying when they spam their character's side specials and normal specials even more than I do now. I had cut down on using them, like rarely to build up damage or edge guarding, yet it's still "spamming", dam that's just annoying. But lucky me I can still do decently well with all the characters; except Peach, despite her nice chain throwing abilities; and that I still have some sub-mains like Zamus, Fox, Ike, and Shiek/Zelda. I'm only giving this kinda off topic paragraph because I just played brawl today and it was annoying, during an all out battle with our mains, I lost using Pit. All because of all the time I wasn't allowed to use him, or there would be whining, I've actually lost touch in using him. Heck, I was thinking of switching mains to Zamus, but then they complain about the length of her whip. Which I don't even understand really, why the heck are the complaining, I'm always coming in 3rd or 4th anyways; out of 5~6 people.[/quote]

Also, if they spam the sword, just guard it and it leaves them open for attack, or roll to the other side.
