Made in Maya, with very light use of photoshop.
It's about 430 poly, and took a few hours to test stuff out.
The only "texturing" done is to get the stripe of black on the blade and the leather on the handles.

I was thinking of doing 3D weaponry but I wanted to start with something small before I get to more detailed weapons.
Next ones I'm considering doing is fairfrozen, blue screamer, or zedbug... or if someone out there got a weapon they'd like to see, I could probably give it a shot.

Kinda reminds me of the Zankantou (or Type-X Colossal Blade if you played Project X Zone), The Sword That Smites Evil.

Try doing the Golden Smith Hammer next!

@lolomgrly: welp if you need any help or tips dont be afraid to msg me, also if you can get mudbox you can import you stuff straight from maya to get super fine details that also make it look more realistic (also its alot easier than maya)

@lolomgrly: I'm no artist, so I have no idea how hard these things are to construct. I've always really liked the look of the Von Leon knuckle, but if you ever do decide to make one it'd really be up to you and whichever you find the easiest to make. I wouldn't want to intentionally make anything difficult for you. Anyway, your... I don't know what these are actually called.. 3D model(?) is still really awesome!
@lolomgrly nice starting model, remember one thing when you texture your models though, nothing is perfect, try adding some scuffs to the blade and dirty it up a bit, when you do a clean model it usually comes out too toy-ish. Ive been doing Media Arts for two years lol, good job on paying attention to poly count
I'll take note of that. I'll work on my texturing skills bit by bit so I can do more things with it.
It's actually the part that fails me the most

Hey no worries, I didn't see it as an attack so don't worry about it

And as for your screamer, it's nice how you're already getting some nice spec on it, specially on that tip of the sword. However, the shapes are not quite there yet.
You may also want to address the missing blue two-tone part of the blade. The guard should also arch all the way to the pommel/bottom of the hilt.

I look forward to seeing your updated screamer!
this is dope I've always liked the doombringer and i would like to see stonetooth or 2h fafnir sword
Is this the fafnir 2h you're talking about?
If it is, that looks hard but I think I'll give it a try! looks fun. I think I'll do the stonetooth first though.
Zbrush is soooo nice once you know how to use it, I wish you luck on sculpting! I'm still a huge newbie at it though and I also used it while it had that crash bug which made me hate it.

There's a fix now though, so it's all good.

The reason why knuckles would be so hard is because a lot of knuckles have hands, which is relatively hard to model. However, I will consider to attempt making one in the future. I could probably use the hands I already have as a base to save time.

Is there a knuckle you'd like to see specifically?

I will consider it.

Yep that's true. Doombringer is all simple shapes. I didn't want to fail the screamer so I'm slowly building up difficulty.

Very nice, I myself go to college for game art. I might start sculpting some stuff in Zbrush myself. Very nice job though.
*edit* Wow, 340 polys, looks really good for a low poly model. Keep at it~
I've noticed that people have been creating 3D versions of swords, but would anyone be willing to make a Knuckle? I'd love to see how someone with actual artistic talent(my art skills were left far behind in 2nd grade) would envision one.
I will consider it.
