Here's that 2H Fafnir Sword you wanted!
This one took nearly 2k poly..
Which pretty much all went into the guard since it needed to get beveled.
Also had to use some extra edge loops on the hilt to allow it to get some better edges under smoothing.

This one was pretty fun to do
Seems like there's actually quite a few people who would like to see a certain weapon be modeled
I'll keep going

Thanks for the comments ya'll.
I'll try to get to your weapons soon, but these requests are piling up looool. I think now that there's 3 bladed weapons, next one I'll do is another type of weapon to have a little variety.

Being introduced to 3DS max in high school is really lucky! I started with lightwave.. It was okay but in my opinion, nowhere near as good as 3DS or Maya.

Half classes half self tought, the class I had only goes through the basics kuz it was a pretty short program but it was the important stuff so it was fine.

Yeah I only make half and duplicate special most of the time. Like the guard I only make the bottom part, then duplicate it to get the top part. Same thing with the blade, make one side, duplicate to get the other and stitch it together.
Depending on the type of parts I'm trying to UV, I use all the mapping types, but yes planar is the one I use the most often.
I always do all the texturing in photoshop. Usually I'd do normal maps in photoshop too unless if the model calls for more "organic" maps.
