Bonding with a girl
Okay, here's my story; I'm a freshman that has had quite a fair share of girlfriends, nothing so spectacular. I've met this Japanese girl, in fact one of the three in the grade. As soon as I started to talk to her, I began to like her. We share the same interests, such as watching anime, playing video games, and talking about school related things. She apparently moved here a year ago, and is struggling in ELA class, even though her speaking isn't flawed (putting her into ELA support). She's good with every other subject, being the top of my class in Math. I found this out: My BEST friend has a deep crush on her too. This girl seems different, I like her more for her personality than anything else. I don't want to lose to my best friend. So far, I have 2 classes with her, while my friend has 1. This relationship has really caused a gap between me and my friend. I THINK she likes me a bit more, I wait for her after school to talk, she says I'm the nicest person in the grade. She gave me chocolates today, the last day before Christmas break.
Despite this, I don't have any idea of her relationship with my friend.
Basil, I know the majority of you are experienced, could you guys help?

the more you hang out with her the more likely she'll choose you over him. even if your friend tried to get at her or w/e, it wouldnt matter because she likes you now. bros before h03s though .. unless shes not one
Ask her before your friend does, if he never knew you liked her too, he couldn't be mad on purpose. It will hurt him but its better that you go with her now so he doesn't waste anymore time going for someone he has no possiblity of getting anyways.

This is a very serious problem. The only thing you can really do is go with your heart. Asking us does nothing.
Ask yourself if that girl is worth more to you then your friend. Simple as that.
Has your best friend had a girlfriend before? If I was you I would help my best friend because we've been through so much and I don't want to see him sad or lose him just to be with a girl.
