A fix for lag in major towns!

as the title states i will help you with some of the major lag you may be experienceing in the major towns.

*Edit: i was looking and found a way to save the priority http://www.askvg.com/how-to-permanently-set-process-priority-in-windows-task-manager/

1.Use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open up task manager. (make sure maple is up and running when you do this)
2.Click on the processes tab in the task manager
3.Find your "maplestory.exe" process
4.Right click the process and go to "priority" and click High
5.Enjoy much less lag in major towns

For those still experiencing problems this may help -> http://churmura.com/general/windows-xp-game-optimization-tips/36961/

Eh, didn't work for me at all. Not only that but disabling UAC made my computer lose some security features and to me that's pretty risky.

Well, MS is down again unfortunately, so I've no choice but to try this at sometime tomorrow when its back on. Thanks for answering my questions guys.
Ah Thanks. And I did right click it, but every time I try to set it to High, it says "The operation could not be completed. Access Denied." I'm the only User on the computer, running Windows Vista.
you may need to turn off account control before you do so
I understand what you said, but I've one question. Since the CPU will only think about Maplestory, it'll cause some possible lag on other programs. Does the lag on the other programs stabilize after closing Maplestory?

Lol, btw it doesn't let me set the priority on it.

All this dose is make maplestory.exe basically the only thing your cpu thinks about. Which is fine because most people have a dual cpu or quad cpu processor now a days and one processor thinks about one .exe at a time anyways. So the other processors can still run your music and internet efficiently. For those with only one cpu, it's probable that your iTunes and internet browsers will slow down quite a bit, but maple will lag less. Completely safe for your computers, good tip.
