Not if you optimize your leveling enough.
You can get "free" mastery book 20s for 250 coins in evo world, and as for the 7/10mill price tag you can also sell a lot of equipment in MPE and DIPQ which adds up surprisingly fast. Not to mention selling potions/equips you get from zak/easy zak/pap etc which anyone can do regardless of funding.

I'm absolutely fine with paying out 7 and 10 mil respectively for each book. I only wish there were more ways to obtain them (i.e. through monster drops, rewards for [party] quests, etc.)

They could/should be cheaper, but it's a significant improvement.

Being able to reliably acquire them is worth the price. Way better than scouring the FM/going on mystery runs.

Still liked the old system best - although even then I would have preferred more questing for skills.

I hate the 'old books trade in' system because Admin doesn't accept like 99% of the 20/30 books.

Well, on one hand, I don't have to hunt around for the Mastery Book I'm looking for and all the prices are essentially equal. On the other hand, all the people that play classes whose Mastery Books are usually lower than 7m/10m now have to pay more. Also, Most unfunded people can't afford these, and Mastery Books don't drop from monsters anymore. I think.

I prefer this. Makes it easier to actually acquire the skill book when needed! What's the point of the skill if you can't use it to the fullest potential? Because let's be honest, some books were just IMPOSSIBLE to find.

Its a much better system overall. Unless you play Mihile since their books were dirt cheap. But even then, it could still be better with the 100% pass rate.

if you are a job that only had to pay 1mil per book, damn but on the bright side you get cheaper MW
