If Im in Japan and want to play Gms
Do I need to do anything other than change the region my computer says it's in?
Because that's all I have to do if i want to play KMS and JMS. As long as I have my info all I need to do before I play is change my computers region.
They don't do the ip-block thing so does GMS?

GMs blocks IP's yes, google "VPN" and use one. Paid ones are better and give better ping.
You need a proxy so you can change your IP adress to an IP adress that's located in the US
