don't think it's confirmed yet if you can move to a different weapon type. might be locked into staff -> staff only and can't do staff -> wand

Weapon casting speed isn't the same as magic casting speed. There are, however, two exceptions where weapon speed is the same as magic casting speed and they are BaM's skills and the FP's 3rd job skill Explosion.

If I understand what you're referring to correctly, staffs only have slower weapon speed. The magic cast speed between wands and staffs are the same; for mages (besides BaM) weapon speed doesn't matter. However, hopefully they find some way to properly even the difference between wands and staffs like how they did with Drks w/ their polearms and spears.

I don't think it mitigated the 3 atk difference. Staffs have always been listed as slower, I think they are just finally fixing their mistake

I just hope they don't decrease the weapon multiplier for wand, they can do whatever buff to staves' multiplier but pls not nerf wands' multiplier

I said this before in the other thread but okay.

It's too soon to assume staff users will get screwed over considering this is all still in testing. Granted, +1 attack speed is quite amazing; however, lots of people still can't hit cap easily. They can adjust weapon multipliers later on or do something of the sort to differentiate the two.
