It probably does the check to see if the player exists first, before it checks to see if that player already exists on a Basilmarket account somewhere, and if there's already an account with that character existing it just blocks the rest of the "add character" process.
The problem has been that people sometimes try to add other people's characters to their own Basilmarket accounts, and the software tries to avoid that happening by blocking adding a character if it's already connected to a Basilmarket account.
I don't think Mr. Basil ever considered the possibility that someone might want to add characters with the same name from two different versions of Maplestory when he wrote the original site software though.

What I don't understand though is that it picks up the character, just theres no option for a job. Heres what it looks like.

That's kind of what I was afraid of. I don't think the forum software is going to be able to support two instances of the same player name on the same account.
If Mr. Basil hasn't been able to find a workaround, it may be that it just isn't going to be able to happen.

I submitted about 6 to 7 tickets already and nothing was done to sort the problem out.

I don't remember ever seeing this situation before. It may be that the forum software won't add that name because you've already got that character name attached to this account. It may not make a distinction between GMS and EMS in that respect.

Probably the best thing to do would be to submit a ticket directly to Mr. Basil by clicking the "Contact" link in the bottom right corner of any Basilmarket page and choosing the "Other" subject, then explaining the situation and asking him if there's anything that can be done to add the same player name from both GMS and EMS at the same time.
