F/p vs hilla normal
Hello, so I made a f/p archmage (lvl 125 atm). I tried to fight hilla normal at lvl 125 with 19k-22k range (something like that, and its reboot server). I couldnt kill her. What would be the optimal range for a f/p to solo her? Would a unfunded mechanic have a easier time? I want to kill her for her pet.

hard hila has a very good drop rate on pet lol
Im taking guildies daily on runs helping them get pets and she drops it like 80% of the time? Then again i do have a wolf familiar and high %drop rate lol
I think the main reason you can't kill hilla is you haven't gotten your hyper skills yet. The cooldown cutter for mist eruption is absolutely essential for f/p bossing. That said, are you sure you're playing optimally? 30 minutes is a long time and I think most people with 30k range and lvl 140 can solo within 10 minutes. Heck my bishop with 25k duoed with lumi with 20k and we killed it in 7 minutes.
@helpingly @saru79 Hard Hilla drops pet boxes every time for me, they're also instanced so everyone in the party gets their own o:
Though as for Normal Hilla, I almost never get pet boxes to drop
@helpingly: Really? I don't think I've ever not gotten a pet box from a hard Hilla run. :o
If you want the pet from normal hilla you better be on like 10 drop. Even for people who do hard hills the drop rate is pretty low.
Make sure you're using elemental decrease if you aren't already. Bosses like her halve your damage, but you can negate that by using elemental decrease and do normal damage. I'd wait til like 50k range to give it another shot.
Try and wait till about 50k I guess. My DB can do it with 80k in about 2 mins depending on how often she uses her stupid reflect. More or less a matter of accuracy and how much damage you can take I guess. Try hitting 130-140 first then go back and try again. The pet is a really rare drop anyway. I've done her prolly like 100+ times on my main but shes never dropped it. Though at the same time I've done it like 15+ times on my new DB and gotten it a few days in
