It isnt the revamp. Their gonna kill all the pirates a dual blades. It says "the time has come". So..RUN!

Was kinda hoping we would get revamped before the azwan nerf.
Seeing as DB's are getting there revamp which if i remember includes the azwan nerf as well.
Still looking forward to this though.

I think the patch name is pretty cool. But with all those DB events... >.> I think my new DB is going to take the spotlight from my Buccaneer for a bit... I must have that 120 Mask

I don't know if I should make my UA a bucc or a Shad... leaning towards shad cuz I already have alot of equips. (daggers+shield)

@izama: Would love something special, but it's not going to happen since it's pretty clear that we weren't even suppose to be getting our revamp now and are just tagging along with dual blade because after said no pirate revamp but hinted dual blade they basically lost their pirate community.
In terms of content or events, I won't be surprised if they say the mounts that we get at 120 is their special reward to us even tho we are suppose to get it anyways. My only hope in mutiny is that they don't nerf aswan like they did with LHC since aswan is one of the few party quests actually worth doing at all.

Adventurers, Knights of Cygnus, Aran and Evan cannot share the Cash Shop because when the Pirate job was released, they did not make a lot of money from it .
We failed as a cash cow.

They really do owe us something, for all of the waiting, they really dropped the ball on this one. I made a Jett, but only because i had all of the high level equips on my main, Bluebeerd, a lvl 191 Corsair. The other reason i did it, was to get used to the playing style, as Jett are really just a rip off of Sairs. The link skill is good, as my Core on my Jett will give me str 21, Dex 21, and attack 18, dex 13 on my main Bluebeerd.

The one thing i find that sucks for us pirates, is with the player card system, etc, a lot of already revamped people got more things added to improve their players, we just get revamp, on the shoulders of DB's, which honestly sucks. After all is said and done, i beleive they saw how mad we were, and decided to add our update to theirs, which should have been released after us. Why does Nexon hate pirates so much? Not enough cash being made off of them? Im lost as for an explanation.

Worst case scenario i suppose would be that, because they didnt release our revamp with thieves revamp, its going to cause all sorts of problems and glitches.

I've been asking questions like this since the first revamp cycle before anniversary. They decided to smash all the explorer cygnus ones together and resitance, which is basically the first few months of revamps before pirate and thief. I asked why not do them all at the same time then? But it's not a big deal, it'll probably get them more to do it separate after, and a phantom and revamp for anniversary would of been amazing. It really got me though, when they released 3 fail patches consecutively after that. The idol stuff wasn't worth anything or fun, the anniversary was interesting for maybe an hr but was easily done with. The bounty hunter event was only good for the badge which didn't take much to get. I just couldn't understand what in the world they were thinking by releasing all these bad patches over revamp and phantom, but even then I thought it was ok when they said summer. Big summer content sounded fun and even for a moment Jett, until we all realized we got cut out of the picture.
I agree that they should of got the message already seeing how even hime has an account on basil, has posted here once, and both basil and the maple site makes references to each other on some events. It's just like, no excuse, to release bad content when your entire fan base throws ideas at you, and even more appalling when all you have to do is copy and paste.
If anything they're probably just fooling new comers and bandwagoners, hoping for a final shot to make money off pirates since Jett flopped. We even have people who think pirates copy off of Jett which is sad.
I like the name of the patch lol, but I agree. I had the exact reaction to it.
I really hope they go beyond the normal revamp content, and actually give us some exclusive events that both high lvl and low lvl pirates can enjoy. Not just a bunch of 2x events and cheap handouts. Maybe a chair, or medal or badge would be nice, that no one else can get?

@izama: In terms of content I don't even know what they will do. Everything between justice and mikhail doesn't have anything to do with mutiny at all really unless GMS decides to do something exclusive which from their previous exclusive achievements, isn't something to get hyped for.
I get how dual blade can fit into the theme with the whole trying to overthrow the night lord or something like that in their storyline so that much makes sense.
I just don't get who they are trying to fool though.
Mean in late spring when announce phantom and exclusive job saying we already know about the hero phantom means they obviously know that we read kms blogs/go to southperry.
The basil balloon cash shop item means that nexon acknowledges this site and check every once and a while. Meaning with the pirate forums being in this ragefest of flames for probably months I would think they would get the message and with that time that all basil talked about was the dragon warrior, why would they think Jett would be an okay thing is beyond me.
And their forums were flooded with spam about the revamp as well, so not fooling them.
Everyone knew why they are releasing the revamp now
Everyone knows when it was suppose to come out
Everyone knows about the other "exclusive" job dragon warrior
Everyone knows what Jett's skills really are.
and everyone knows the probably reason why the pirate revamp was delayed.
The fact that the live stream of aswan mentioned dual blades, but not us and we are getting the revamp at the same time basically proves that dual blade was suppose to get their revamp before us.
The fact that they named the next big update mutiny to say that we ment for pirates to come out with august 8th is just...wow.
My feeling toward the name is just "you gatta to be -insert bad word here- kidding me..."

I know what you mean, it was AFTER the forums bursted with yet again more disappointing new when Hime said the revamp wont happen in the aswan update, Then a GM later confirmed it would be on the 8th of august. I mean if they were MEANT to get revamped before us then thats just sad...

You're not the only one lol. I love the name, but I don't feel this patch is focused on us at all in anyway. They say they meant to do it like this but odds are they don't do anything special for us at all. We'll probably get the same old stale events, 2x as always, a hat, hopefully a non glitched book exchange, and then that's it. I also love how they bring dual blades into this as some coop thing...it just seems stupid. It feels like they just slapped some things together and put the name to appease us.

Yes I know 2 GM's said the date in the MS forums but there was always people doubting it with that 99.999999% BS so that's why I used the term speculated. None the less now we know its for sure as they finally post something concrete about it.

Well this basically confirmed that dual blade revamp was suppose to come before pirates and only reason why we are included is basically they got sick of us.
Hope they don't nerf Aswan since its one of the few party quests actually worth doing...

The date was rather confirmed by two GMs

Hmm they made a separate new update to be released called Mutiniy, that contains pirate revamp, Hilla the new boss, along with thief revamp. Hopefully the events and rewards related are worthwhile (maybe if nexon is kind they might throw in an AP reset..Jusssst maaayybeee)
