Legend of Korra Discussion

*******************Spoiler alert******************This is for the newest episode of LOK.

I really hate how weak korra is..why is she acting so cocky like she would easily beat kuvira? "I dont need to go avatar state. It's a last resort" Just go avatar state because obviously she's the weakest avatar ever. She couldn't fight at all unless she was ever in the avatar state. What are your opinions about this episode?

No they obviously want you to think that Zhu Li is being fake. She's gonna stay evil.

ugh guys it's only the 6th episode in... there is hope still
did you hear what kuvira said? "we don't need the avatar anymore" korra is getting enough hate...
she was close to being dead by poison in her blood, which sat there during the fight - that is VERY hard to recover from
the red lotus is still out there, and it is possible that kuvira is the love child of su and zaheer
I'm waiting to see what happened to zaheer and others who may be a part of the red lotus
Aang didn't want to be the avatar? I thought he was always neutral towards it.
During the first or second episode, Katara asks Aang why he didn't tell them why he was the avatar. His response was "Because I never wanted to be". This video sums it all up very well.
I feel the way that it's all been played out is very well done. The Last Airbender was introduced with a kid who didn't want to be the Avatar and allowed for us to watch him slowly accept it. The Legend of Korra has a girl who's entire life revolved around being the Avatar and she's slowly being stripped away her pride of being the Avatar. Now we have Korra completely broken and we are watching her rebuild herself. I feel that she told everyone she wasn't going to enter the Avatar state since deep down she really fears it.
I just hope Toph comes out from her swamp and beats the living hell out of Kuvira
Maybe she will come out? :o

Yeah not gonna lie. I don't think this plot is very series ending worthy.
Season/Book 3 would've made a GREAT ending. The Red Lotus members escape and try to tear everything down - leaving Korra in such a weak state. That's a great ending, I'll say.
But this?
Some hitler-like antagonist for last season? Kinda lame, really.

@Plenair: time and space has no meaning to me
(also I watched all the episodes for this season in one day and I don't know anything about the airing schedule, so I had no idea how many episodes I watched/how many I'm missing, etc)
Well if you look at all the previous fights, korra has been weak in all of them. None of the other avatars were even close to how weak she is. IMO she's like the worst avatar and she annoys me so much now. Kuvira i admit is annoying thinking she's the best, but i guess i can kind of see where she got that cockyness from. She literally took over the earth kingdom. That's a pretty big accomplishment if you ask me. She just lost focus and let the power blind her
She's also the worst Avatar because she can't rely on the experiences of past Avatars. She only has stories about what they did and how they acted. She's living in a totally different time than Aang; hell, she probably doesn't even know how to react to Metalbending, which is something Aang didn't have to worry about because it was just the conception of the technique. Korra's also fighting the equivalent of a world leader at this point, so it makes sense for her to not perform as well. I dunno, I just feel like everyone's hating on Korra too much.
She was confined to a wheelchair for a long time. She had mercury in her system for over three years. There's no doubt she's gonna be weak as hell. I don't like that Kuvira thought she was better for beating Korra after she was clearly whooped by Korra in the Avatar State because Korra had mercy on her (or, well, y'know, PTSD-ly things). Kuvira's a cocky and bad lady and Korra's not back in tip-top shape but I think Bolin's gonna do something to Kuvira. I was also hoping that Varrick would blow up the stupid husband guy.
To be honest, the story for this season is pretty crummy. So I just might stop watching LoK and only focus on Psycho Pass 2 (ftw).

I'm too many episodes behind. I stopped watching after korra left toph and I don't remember which episode that was so I haven't looked into watching the rest. It's probably not even worth it without toph

Aang would probably own Korra in a 1v1 but it's impossible because then he would be owning himself.

as much as i like how much the show has grown,
Korra kinda annoys me just how useless she is right now
she really can't be helpful even when she tries
