So Nexon.... Please explain this to me..
I chose to evolve my baby robo trying to get the gorilla robo...
After 114k NX which is 114 tries. ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN TRIES, I didnt get it.
Im beyond furious right now. Ive asked customer service live chat for odds of it and none of you have given me an answer. Please remember, the gorilla robo is SUPPOSEDLEY a 1 in 5 chance. Unless they removed it from the game without announcing.. Please GM or NEXON explain to me what ive done wrong... The chance of me NOT getting a gorilla robo is legit like 0.0000000000000000000001% of happening.
Ive tried asking for compensation for this crap and they wouldnt help me at all. Im about to quit this game because of this bullcrap >.<

It isn't different and I'll explain why. You are basing the status of each of the possible five evolution robots to be on equal par of chance with your math, which is not the case. [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/shop/cash-shop-guide/library/00EDe/evolving-pets?page=4]Official site even states that it is an EXTREMELY rare possible chance to obtain the gorilla robot.[/url] Having that set in mind, the probability of getting the gorilla is not one in five already and thus proving your math wrong.
Another reason as to why your math is wrong is because it is not a multiplicative situation. The percent chance of possibly getting gorilla does not change PER attempt. It is a certain low/ "Extreme rare" chance of getting the gorilla each time and stay that "set" percent chance of getting it. For example, if the gorilla is a 1% chance to obtain then it will always be 1% chance to obtain PER attempt. In the OP's case, it would be 1% each chance per ticket one hundred some times. It's as if her attempts add up to some multiplicative percentage, which is what you did the math for.
This was OP's fault in risking a gamble that was even posted to have an extremely rare chance at getting the gorilla robot pet. Knowing the risks, OP tries to get compensation for her(or his) own result of failing to obtain the gorilla robot pet.
I feel like those who liked your comment liked it more or less because your math is correct if that were the case to use it in, but alas it is not.
The entire game is a scam. Quit it, it won't ever compensate you.

Your mistake was seeing the 5 different outcomes and assuming each outcome was weighed the same for 1/5 probability.
Guess it's clear now that the Gorilla evolution is set to a very low probability.

Yeah basically wat he said... and also if u read the evolving pet section at MS it says you have a chance to get the rare gorilla robo... Rare.... No where does it say you have 1/5 chance.... so you basically screwed yourself over....

Actually, the chances of you not getting a Gorilla are 0.8^114 or about 8.96^-10 %. This is much greater than the 1^-22 % you mentioned I implore you to be optimistic and buy more NX.
