mapleStory on MacBook Pro question
hey guys. So I just installed Windows 8.1 on my MacBook Pro. Whenever I am playing on MapleStory, I always hit the command button instead of the alt button like to jump. Whenever I push this it closes out of MapleStory and goes to the Windows 8.1 start screen. Is there anyway to disable this key? It's very annoying.

are you on parallels? if so, it's not hard to just re-map what the command key does when you're playing maplestory. if you're running bootcamp, i'd consider switching to parallels if your specs aren't awful. as long as your macbook has a fair processor (core i5 or better) and at least four gigs of memory, you won't notice any lag or delays in parallels as compared to bootcamp.
the plus side with parallels is that you can switch to your macbook side in the background if you're afk-ing or whatever; just switching in general. bootcamp is annoying because you have to commit to either windows or mac and each time you need to change it's a reboot. for what it's worth, i've been playing maplestory on a mac for four or five years, and i never mess up with the command key. it might just take time to train your movement.
Take out all the keys on the keyboard and re organize it in the way you want it
I do the same thing and I use [url=http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/WKey-Disabler.shtml]this[/url] to disable the key. I don't know if it works in 8.1 but you can try it out.
@MapleIx3: Oh, my bad. I had a windows 8 before, but it sucked so much when it came to gaming, so I just traded it in for another windows computer. lol
I don't think there's a way to disable to command button though. You just have to get used to it.

Yeah i know how to jump. my problem is i keep hitting the command button instead which closes maple and takes me to the start screen and i want to disable that

Alt is the option button. On the Macbook Air keyboard, it says "alt" in the left hand corner of the "option" button.
I don't know of any way to change that button's function, but you can always change which key you have 'jump' on.
Or just get used to hitting the correct key. After enough times of screwing up you'll probably stop, lol
