Seems everyone is doing BearCat. Bear IS very powerful and seems to provide the best dps but it's just way too...stationary for my liking. Really hurts me when Gollux decides to cop a feel when I'm hammering his chin.

I'm personally going LeopardCat. Leopard is actually pretty good at bossing once you get good control of him. Thinking of changing to Leopard/Hawk later on. Eka, even though she's incrediweak compared to the others, is just way too fun to only use for a party summoner and door mule...besides, other than cat's card buffs, I'm never in that mode and I can't stand being nothing but a mule for bossing/training.

Maybe I'm just being weird.

Bear/Cat. Bear is better than Leopard for bossing and about on equal ground for mobbing; Cat has amazing buffs and gives a support option; Hawk is only marginally useful, but can come in handy once Bear and Cat have been maxed out; Leopard is decent, but redundant with Bear and therefore almost useless.

I went bear/leopard evenly til ~70 and then bear just got ridiculous and that's all I've needed up to 150
Leopard is nice for mobbing quick but I don't use it much anymore..I think I'm going to reset to Bear/Cat since it's got some nice buffs

Bear is godly as hell once you get furious strikes. Leopard is only easier to train with until then, at which point you can set up the ultimate exp gain strategy at Robos while you just sit back and watch the levels fly by.

leopard/bear through lv 100 then switched to cat/bear and added some points to bird for mobility
I maxed snow leopard to get me to 100 since the rush type skills are really useful for early levels. Once I got to 100, I used an SP reset on my leopard tree from the CS since free ones for getting to 100 or whatever level it is are glitched. Then I put all that SP into bear to train better at evo lab and monster park extreme. After that I just saved the points since I just wanted the link skill, but I think starting to put your SP into the cat tree would be a good idea.
So it wasnt only me... Guess ima have to stick to leopard and bear for now since i cant reset to get cat

In the end, Bear and Kitty will get you the most out of your beast tamer.

I chose Bear and leopard because bear is good for bossing for later levels and leopard is for mobbing
