@xylyls: By doing the story quests, at like level 30 you'll get a quest from cassandra and you'll get your explorer book. You do the long story quests and you'll get it after saving Maple Island.

About the prices, I guess the store I found was overpirced, I'll keep searching for more shops with reasonable prices, since Bera nd Broa have somewhere similar prices.

One more thing, if (I might not get it as well) can spend around 550$ on getting new equips, what can I get with it? Should I buy high end items? Or should I bother scrolling/cubing them?

I'm too sure about Broa prices, but the difference between Broa and Bera shouldn't be that much different. I got my full superior Gollux set for a decent price. 1.5b pendant, earring 700m, belt 900. Personally I don't like buying in the FM stores since you can't negotiate and is overpriced sometimes. It takes awhile but there will be desperate sellers! To tag people use "@" with the person's IGN following right after without a space.

Grab yourself a clean Fafnir Damascus, about 5000 spell traces, use either 70% traces or 30%. get them scrolled. then enhance them to twelve stars via starforce (I'm not kidding, enhancing got LAUGHABLY easier)

theres your weapon right there. should only cost about 1b or so.

14b left: grab a Royal Assassin Hood, Eagle Eye Assassin shirt, Trixter Assassin pants. that should cover hat top and bottom. they're about 250m clean in total. Spell trace them for some more luk and enhance them to 11-12 stars.

okay about 13b left: Grab a thief Tyrant Cape for around 1-1.5b. they're a lot more expensive to enhance but try getting them to 5 stars. HUGE increase in stats.

About 10b left: find a decent dragon khanjar that's already pre-cubed to a certain degree. That should bring you down to roughly 3b or so.

Grab a reinforced gollux belt (for filler) since tyrant belts are way too expensive, and just grab some empress boots (or if u have at least 15% luk on your current boots that will do).

For gloves: Mu Lung Dojo should be able to cover you, top fifty gloves are actually pretty good. but you have to renew them every week. I suggest getting a pair of Empress Gloves as filler. Spell trace and enhance them to 11-12 stars. Find a Decent Sharp Eyes nebulite you can put on it.

You should be at around 1b. I recommend keeping it just in case, you're pretty much covered in terms of gear... i think.

OH! Shoulder pads! Empress shoulder pad sells for usually 200-300 i think. and face accessory and eye accessory I'm assuming your specs are pretty good. so grab a Sweet Water tattoo. a 7% luk one should be around like 600m or something.

Thanks a lot for this list. I'll check the items and thier prices. The problem is, I the found earring and the ring, each one for like 5b each , and they were clean. I'll have to search more in the FM.
If I followed the exact items as you mentioned, what range will I have?.
The other problem is, I'm really unlucky in MS . out of 20 70% scrolls, 3 only worked. So isn't it better to try and find already scrolled equips?

ISmileI : Thanks for the info. Too bad that I'm not in a good guild, and I barely have friends to do bosses runs . But I'll try as you said, to watch for events and upgrade my equpis slowly.

Currently, I have something less than 35 billion, what can I get for my shadower with that? And should I use it to buy equpis now, or should I save more and buy more powerful ones?

I just want to say that there's a cap of 15 lines per skill, so MC does only 15 lines. Doesn't affect skills like hurricane, meso explosion, etc.

I should really save all the posts I make so I don't have to remember them all but...

FIRST! Understand that the meso you have now may be almost nothing now! 10 bil is pretty easy to make in a couple days, even in a day!

Second! You will have to get all new equips! It's part of Maple! Need to constantly upgrade! In your case more so cause you haven't played in 2 years.

Third! Some things are easier! Like for instance cubing! With a bit of time you can cube a lot of your gears for free! (A lot of your time*)

Fourth! Free endgame equips! Do the quests to get the Ghost Ship exorcist badge, you can get it from Quay Town, talk to the homeless guy. Also! Get your Explorer Emblem (Lol, suck it non-explorers!) It's the best emblem in the game and only explorers can get it! Gollux items! Personally I run reinforced, but Superior does have better stats in the long run but at lower funding, it's not much of a difference. With Gollux items you can obtain them from Gollux itself or from the Gollux shop thing, there you can get the items (Earrings/Rings) and scroll them (Advanced Gollux Scroll it's a 60% success rate, no boom rate) Can also get occult scrolls and what not, they are useful for scrolling armor/accessories with no attack then you Chaos scroll of goodness them(Or ICOG)

Fifth! Bosses are helpful for potions, boss souls, items used for extraction (Will go over this later) I make around 40 mil a day just from selling pots from bosses I kill, these bosses are Hilla, Hard Hilla, Zakum, Chaos Zakum, Ranmaru, Madman Ranmaru, Horntail, Chaos Horntail, Pink Bean, Arkarium, Root Abyss, Chaos Root Abyss (On thursdays cause there is a week cool down on killing these bosses) Empress, Magnus.

Sixth! Profits! The only real ways to make meso on this game is to boss, now this doesn't mean you can go kill Zakum and sell his helmets! No, Tyrant cloaks, boots, belts, Root abyss weapons, bottoms, hats, Gollux gear, scrolled reinforced or clean superior, and Commerci weapons/equips! Commerci can be a huge meso maker if you get thief equips, mostly a Katara cause Thief = Master race (Biased) BUT to get to the point of being able to do Magnus for boss drops/coins to get belts/shoes and to kill CRA bosses, well you need really nice friends/guildies or you need to have a very high range, as a Shadower you'll be able to do it sooner than most people due to Shadower's crazy damage. Getting to a high range (2-5 mil) is not easy, it takes a ton of time or over 500 billion mesos (As a Shdower for the best potential you will need lots and lots of meso, will explain later) Another way to make meso is to extract lvl 110+ weapons/equips for a chance to get Superior item crystals, prior to all these items they would sell for 1 mil each, nowadays (at least in Windia) they are around 150-250k each, it's not a lot but it's something being as how you can literally get a few thousand a day. (This the part where I mentioned it could also take a lot of time if you're not rich as hell)

Seventh! Your Class! Shadower! It's a beast of a class, it has the second highest amount of damage per line in the whole game (Marksman has highest per line, but they only have one line -lol- ) we hit 8 times with Midnight Carnival, 16 times with Shadow Partner (YASSS) But again, that's with stupid amounts of funding, even though you cannot do that right off the back, you'll still be out damaging all the other classes in the game on equal fundings. Shadower uses a Dagger and Shield as a secondary (It can get stats like a Weapon can! http://imgur.com/wteR5EW )

ALSO take note that the true "OP-ness" doesn't come until you get Flip of the coin Hyper! Yes, you'll be OP as hell 4th job just based on the % damage on your skills but after you get Flip of the coins -Wipes tears away- You'll be so happy with the outcome! It's a huge damage boost and it also makes it so you hit over 50 mil (over 70 mil if you use Assassinate Hyper on Assassinate you will hit at cap 80 mil on Shadow partner and 120 mil on regular) ALSO Shadower comes with basically 100% Crit, http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Shadower_Prime-Critical_Skill-2090.html

EXTRA!: Dual Blades are weak as heck but very fast! Night Lords are what you play for easy bossing and training (The lazy Class) Shadower is the slowest of all thieves (Can easily fix that with MPE pots, and not so easily with Decent Speed Infusion potential on gloves and Attack Speed +1 Inner ability, both are on legendary)

ANOTHER THING! Thief equips are the most expensive out of all the other classes, so be prepared to be like "WTF MAN" when you compare them to other jobs like bowman...

I also came back recently and the changes weren't too bad to deal with, the only problem is, from the time I stopped playing and to the point when I started playing again, around an year or so? I noticed a bit of an inflation. Apparently 5b means nothing great and if you're looking for an end game set up, you'll either have to pour tons of $$ into the game or play for a long time, take advantage of events, mech, craft, etc etc to get remotely close to being near end game.

I'm not sure how much funding you have, but if you can I'd suggest getting the CRA set. It seems like thief set is more expensive than the others, so there's that. 156 att unfortunately isn't that great. I got a 262 att Fafnir Damascus for around 2.5b (Bera) so you can maybe work around that.

With a guild/friends, you can attempt to do the Gollux prequest and do daily Gollux runs to farm the Gollux set (which can be tedious) but definitely worth doing.

Ultimately you'd want Tyrant Cape/Boots/Gloves, but since they are really expensive, you can stick with Empress set until you can make enough mesos to afford one.

This is what I found out from others on this forum guiding me on which way to go and since you didn't give an exact amount of mesos you have, it might hard for people to tell you what to do.
