Maple Story has stopped working error
Hello basil,
Every time I run the game I get this error, Maple story has stopped working. Running the game from the website, the desktop shortcut or gameluncher, they all give me the same error, Maplestory has Stopped working < two options appear 1st : Check online for solution and close the program, 2nd : Close the program. >. I already re-installed the game multiple times and re-downloaded it multiple times, yet the same error appears. This is the first time I run the game on this laptop. If it helps, the laptop is running on Windows-7 64-bit. Please help me solve this, I've been trying to play for a long while now.

Edit: I tried to run the game from my ancient laptop.. and it is working normally, and it is windows-7 32-bit. So I think maplestory is not compatible with 64-bit version of windows ? :O

@xthatkat: once you download steam find maplestory for it.
Using steam? well, I don't one to be stuck with one account only...
and yeah I deleted all maplestory files before re-installing it, I didn't leave any files related to maplestory, yet I still get the problem. I lost count of the times I downloaded the game already -.-'.
I sent Nexon a ticket for 1 month and 5 days, yet they didn't even answer. I hope if they fix the problem, because it is annoying ><
I just made a thread detailing our problem further. I also just used Steam to install it and it STILL didn't work.
I've been playing Maple on and off for like 5 years and I just got this exact same problem for the first time today... also on Windows 7 64-bit. I've redownloaded and reinstalled like 4 times and I'm going for the fifth right now... I hope I don't have to use Steam to play.
Does anyone know what's up with this? I've already white-listed all MapleStory related things on my Antivirus' firewall.
I used steam when I had this error and it works fine, only thing is you can only use 1 account.
did you uninstall every single file and folder for maplestory and nexon? i had this problem multiple times and after i reinstalled like 5 times it finally worked o.o ut you can also try running maple on steam if you know what that is.
Thank you for your reply @probin but that didn't solve the problem, I still have it. I was using Chrome, and now I used internet explorer, and I still get the same problem.
Edit : I even downloaded Firefox and tried, I still get the same problem. Please I wanna play T.T
use a diffrent browser this happened to me a few times and i just used a diffrent browser to start maple from its website
