iPhone 4 help.

So i recently got an iphone 4, and jailbroke it. I didnt have a sim card when i did that.
so recently i got my microsim from 3 and placed it inside my iphone and nothing happened. I get no service and invalid sim errors and when i plug my iphone into the computer, itunes gives me an error saying 'Sim card not supported'
So now I dont have a phone to use, since my other dim was deactivated when i got my microsim, and the microsim doesnt even work...
I think my phone is locked to telstra, i already tried ultrasn0w, it didnt do anything..

anyone know what I can do?

thats not the thing, you unlcok with a thing called ultrasn0w, i tried that and it said i could enter any sim i wanted now, but when i put my sim in, it doesnt say anything, just No Service in the top left, cant send/receive calls or anything else.
My sim doesnt work, thats the thing

Yeah it came brand new lol, and the problem is, i need my sim to work so i can receive/send calls or messages, not having a phone is really annoying.
How do i activate my phone if it is locked to telstra?

there might be possibly two problems,
first is you jailbreak phone with the software that required activated phone,
second is your phone carrier is not support iphone ( company lock ) but can be fix by jb i guess..
or else, idk

EDIT:where did you get your phone from? it might be banned MAC or the iphone unique ID
ANOTHER EDIT: i asked my friend about this, he say try active airplane mode and try sync it with itunes, it worked for him..

what do you mean? I went to 3, asked for my sim, they gave it to me and about 2 hours later my regular sim deactivated and that was about 5 days ago

How do i backup my phone before i restore it? i dont wanna lose all my stuff ahaha
@above I went to 3 and they gave me a microsim. they asked for my mobile number and my 4 digit pin so they could transfer it over to the microsim, so my regular sim is decativated and my microsim doesnt even work..

By your definition of microsim card is that you manually cut it into a smaller piece of sim card or the manufactured microsim card?

Nothing you can do but restore and update to the latest OS.

Just back up your phone before restoring, everything will still be there. I got a new iphone and when I plugged it in, all my old info from my old iphone came onto my new one.

You need to unlock your iphone by entering the unlock code, unless jailbreak unlocks the phone too.
