18 years oldpossibly time to move on?

I've been playing this on and off for about 5 years now. I haven't logged in for about a year or so now, but with university holidays coming up, I'm contemplating signing up once again. I'm really not sure why, though at times I miss elements of the game. Just wondering if there's any late teens or early twenty year olds out there, or am I just on a sinking ship and need to quit while I'm ahead?

Age does not matter at all.

I've seen OLD PEOPLE like people 50 or older play, and im not even kidding
Its whether you yourself WANT to or not. It is actually a great place to chill with friends online, but just make sure u dont get scammed or something >.<

I'm 20. I play and still have time for school, job and friends. No biggie. Play until you stop wanting to.

I'm 18 and I still play... but not nearly as much as I used to. I'm working full-time this summer and I'm starting my second year of uni in september. I don't have time anymore =/

Read this interview.

I quote: "The average age of our players is 19."

'Nuff said.

Well, if you get bored and Maplestory is fun to you. Then why not play it? I think you should go for it.
Also, don't feel discouraged about your age. I've met tons of people who are older than me...then again, I'm only 14 haha. My old guild leader was like 30-40 and still plays.

I play this and other games and I'm almost 17, granted my other games are much more mature than maple, but I still play . One of the biggest things is surrounding yourself with people your own age, not 12 year olds lol.

Look who came back from the grave, good to see you again.

The game isn't as it was before, but leveling so much easier. The social aspect is gone though.

I know tons of people over the age of 18 who play.More mature community that way.

My cousin is 18 and he plays. Try to focus on your studies though, only play like during the vacation time as you stated =P
Get out while you still can, im still looking for a reason to quit, just cant find it yet, maplestory will soon die out with the hackers and wut not, Leave NOW while you still can.
I have a friend who is in first year college and he recently quit maple for good theres no more coming back for him and he means it. It made him so much more social and outgoing now, he forces me outside now LOL.

Summary: GET OUT WHILE U STILL CAN!
That was me a few years ago. I was playing with a bunch of friends from school. In time, they all quit and here I was, still playing daily. I didn't quit then and there, it was more of a gradual thing. Definitely was hooked at one stage.

Just think of "MapleStory" as some sort of hobby, not a on and on thing that a LARGE majority of the people playing it do. Anyways, it's your choice, and as everyone else said above me, it doesn't really matter how old you are. Anyways, enough with the rambling, I'm going to go get a glass of water.

Definitely reassuring to know I'm not the only player surrounded by 13 year olds. I agree, it's just a game and age really shouldn't play any part in that. I guess the only reason I'm not all for it is primarily just because I feel like I'm stuck in the past. Can't really explain that one, though it will be interesting to see how everything has changed
and if I still have the attention span to play it still.

@above: you'd think by university I'd know what's important. Ultimately I don't. I could ramble on about this forever, but I am honestly just stuck. Another reason I don't really want to get back in to the swing of Maplestory.

I play still (probably only 3 hours a week or less, but I still play) and I'm 18. Your age really shouldn't matter at all, a game's a game. Just don't let it get in the way of your life, that's when it becomes more then a game.

i sugest u play but dont be a "no-life" (someone who plays so much they basicly have no life)

Forget about your age, if you want to play, you want to play. It's just a number, it can't stop you from having fun unless you let it.
