I like everything here except that it's pretty segregated.
ahhh how so? USC is the school I really wanna go to you're so lucky
University of Michigan.
Pretty sweet place. Besides the weather. And the ridiculously hard classes (Tho id assume engineering classes anywhere else would be hard as well). And the frequent all nighters.
But the parties, social atmosphere, restaurants, and Harbaugh trump the negatives.

Don't go to NYU.
Don't do it to yourself.
I hear a lot of great things from BU though. :^)

@RitoPls I wish you acted as smart as you probably are
@whotookmycookie: This is BS. I could be at Cal right now.
@nonsonofronz The campus is one of the most depressing ones in the country. The architecture is very, very poor.
2 hours from the city by train, 1.5 by car.
Nope.
UC's like Californians in them, that's why they're 99% in state.
I go to Stony Brook. It'll be cheap because of in-state tuition, it isn't completely terrible, there are tons of Asians, and we could be friends! :^)
They've started accepting more out of state cause $$$. It's harder for Californians to get into UC Schools now, so, I would suggest OP to apply to UCs if interested.
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
It's pretty rad over here. Campus is beautiful, everyone is super smart, and it's like the only place where I can double major in chemistry and dramatic art.
Despite the academic scandal, real classes here are actually ridiculously hard. Which is kind of a drag, but makes post-exam partying the best.
Most colleges prefer students from their own state and probably have a law that states a required quota for in state students. I know by law my school has to have at least 84% in state students.
@RitoPls: How nice is the campus over there and how far away is Stony Brook from NYC?
I may be doing this nuclear chemistry thing up there this summer.
deciding between Humboldt State University or SF state university.

a state school in northern california. everyone i know is from SoCal
It's generally harder to get into an out-of-state school, especially if it's a state university (such as the University of California chain). But if it's a private university, they won't care as much.
I go to Drexel and I hate it.
I don't go to college yet, but got accepted into NJIT (if anyone on the east coast or anywhere really can tell me their opinion on the university that would be much appreciated)
Rutgers, and Montclair. (only schools i applied to)
