Why was the damage cap raised to 50mil?

I was thinking about design flaws in the game, and raising the damage cap is one of the flaws. It just breaks so many things like, a 49mil damage cap increase just seems... out of pocket.

I can't think of a reason other than trying to maintain the RPG feel of endlessly upgrading your gear, come to think of it, that was probably the point of potentials, enhancements, bonus potentials, and nebulites. Ramble.

@Dominion: Attack speed is too low and flame haze mist eruption combo does not work for the eyes or the forehead so no, it won't work.

brb switching to fp mage. an evan with 100k less range than me is doing 7mil dmg per line for 30mil total on blaze. I am doing 3mil per line for 21mil total. il mage is so bad. the class is nothing without frost orb. even with evan still dojos faster lul. lf kmst patch.

you'd need x3 that range to solo it.

Honestly I thought it was necessary. While It did make the demand for nx increase, therefore leading to money going into Nexon's pocket, I find half my task is just sent to increasing my range. Hitting the original cap now is super easy with the new equips. It's entertaining to continue working on my equips, and it gives me something to do. That's just me, I know a bunch of people hate it, but I personally enjoy working on it.

They created pay to win bosses combined with everyone's need to solo everything which equals lots of money! People can go old school and create large expeditions to go to these bosses but sharing those few drops is an ugly process.

my guess is they want to keep releasing content and the old cap wasn't gonna do it justice.
maybe they wanted this redonk cap because it's hard to reach so they don't have to keep raising it for a while and while they're at it, keep the nx flow going

hitting cap on paralyze takes 2.5mil+ range. hitting cap on mist eruption isn't really great dps. im doing all 3 tho for the luls.

This is untrue. There are a over 100 players hitting less than 1mil for every 50mil video you see on Youtube. Our mesos are cheaper, and our market is worse than KMS. NX conversion NX comes out cheaper but the cost of living in Korea is different than America. NX is perm in Korea, whereas it only lasts 90 days in America, which is something JMS introduced.

because those of us who hit 1m a line still were not happy bcus a bunch of us combined could barely kill cra, it was possible, but the new dmg cap ment we could solo it and have mules 2 pick up the drops

the damage cap was needed, would have it be nicer if they increased to like 25mil then to 50? maybe, but a damage cap raise was definitely needed.
not to mention more opportunity for nexon to rake cash in, aka keep this game operational longer.

Because.... it's too easy to hit the 1mil cap. People no longer spend money on this game. Nexon no get money. Nexon make stronger boss. Players complain impossible to kill. Nexon increase cap. Player spend more money. Nexon get more money. Nexon win.

I think this was to help KMS players, if anything. Koreans get it easy because NX and mesos (as far as I've heard) are a lot cheaper than ours. That's why you see hundreds and of people hitting 50m consistently.
