Resurrected Assassin
So today I decided to resurrect my original Assassin, SeaWhorse, today and it feels great. Only level 39 but levels are coming and going very fast. Couple of questions.
If I do decide to partially fund this character, I have 440 million to spend. I know I don't need anything right now, but about how many sets of stars should I have? Currently I have 3 steelys, 1 snowball(lol), and a few subis. I'd like to find more steelys from monster drops but I'm unsure what drops them. After stars, should I just save that money for empress gear? Never funded an assassin before, but I'm assuming claw -> gear -> stars?

MPE is back and it's pretty decent exp so that's an alternative way of leveling.
@TripleBladez: Oh, I thought it couldn't. Wow, that's dumb. Now I'm starting to see why they're so underpowered/unpopular lately.
@DemoDango: Shadow Stars can be dispelled just so you know. It's why a couple of NL's have mentioned in the past that they'd like the skill to be undispellable.
@bubblecup118: I don't think that skill is affected by dispel. Most high-cooldown or item-consuming buffs aren't, as well as ones that keep you alive (e.g. Magic Guard).
Just know that 130-140 is going to be a struggle at Evo. Those pot burns though.
don't worry too much about upgrading stars. A few sets of steelies and/or illbies is sufficient. At 3rd job as above said you get a skill which makes you consumed 100 stars for 3 mins only. Assuming at this time you don't go bossing that debuffs you, stars wouldn't be an issue
Stars is not your main problem. as soon as you reach 3rd Job, you will get a skill so you won't use too much stars. I only carry 4 sets and almost never recharge.
You should get ilbis, or wait till level 70 and buy hwabis becuase are cheaper and has the same attack as ilbis.
Get 6 pieces of empress... And the claw you can perfect it yourself with some coin shop when it is released again.
Get 6% luk tempest equips, rings, accesory, etc.
This is the fundamental this I would do to start funding myself.
Merch a lot so you can afford every piece of empress and tempest equips...
Empress claws are really cheap right now, so hurry.
