What do you think of girls with short hair?
I`m cutting my hair to above the ear length. Nothing like a buzz cut though.
I`m sick of long hair, and want something low maintenance. I don`t really care what people say about me. Although, it's going to be kind of awkward because there's always some ignorant people out in the world making assumptions about girls with short hair; and I go to an all girls school (next stop gossip central).
Ironically enough, I AM gay, but despite the crazy stereotypes out there, I`m not cutting my hair short because I want to flaunt the fact that I`m gay. I'd like a change because I think that I look REALLY awkward with long hair unless its straightened. This is because I have a huge mop of curly hair that irks me to no end.
Yeah.
So basilers, what do YOU think of girls with short hair?
Edit:Some people were talking about facial shape and depending on how you look. I honestly have no idea.
I think I`m an oval shape..? o.o I just know that I want a short haircut.

Well, I had really long hair for .. a long time (Idk how many inches, but it went pretty far down my back, my hair is curly too at the ends, so it was way longer when it was straight) My hair is kinda frizzy, damaged, and some curls/waves. But i chopped my hair down to shoulder length a couple weeks ago.
I still needa get used to it, but it was a nice change. Of coarse i had doubts (I have troubles making up my mind sometimes) But it looks nice.
Also, if your certain, go for it. Dont listen to everyone else. All that maters (imo) in the long run is if YOU are happy with it.
try something shoulder length

Yay, someone I can relate to! I ALWAYS put my hair in a pony tail and I`m tired of it since my hair is too a mess of frizzy curls that I can`t leave out.
I am ready for a change or change(s)! ;3 & Ha, I don`t think my hair can become an afro, I don`t have the type of curls for it. That would be cool though if I could get one. D:

imo it really depends on your looks, some girls look nice with short hair, others dont
shoulder is good, above is bad. Long hair = looks more feminine
If youre trying to get girls with your hair, keep it long. From what i heard, lez girls perfer non tomboyish types. IF you are "fat" dont get short hair. </3
I think short hair only looks good with straight hair, but not really curly.
I have curly hair. I hate it @_@ Can't deal with it. I straight permed it, but not it's growing back. Looks so awkward </3

Just go ahead and cut it, screw what everyone else thinks. It's liberating, fun and IT WILL GROW BACK, faster than you can imagine. I've been trying different short hairstyles every month or two since last june and it's been a very fun experience; I found a lot of looks that are much more complimentary to my face than plain hair-in-a-ponytail (which is what it has always been), or hair down. If you're curly GET AN AFRO, I will be soooo jealous
Unless you have a pretty jaw line and a long facial structure, I wouldn't do short hair.
Took me awhile to be able to chop off my hair. I didn't want to let go, since I was scared I would look bad. I cut off like 10 inches of my hair, and everyone said it looked nice. It was to have a change, y'know?
Only Light skin black girls look good in short hair.

I was never really fond of bobs. As for the face shape, I have an oval face shape and my jaw is rounded ^-^
it can be really cute, and the low maintenance thing is obviously great.
not like it applies here but i feel like guys who prefer girls with short hair are one stop from gaytown.
I wish I could cut my hair short.. but I seem to have grown "attached" to my hair heh get it? (corny joke) but short hair can be really nice looking and even cute if done right and I know how you feel sorta I have long, thick, dark brown hair (it's at mid back it use to be but I got it cut a few years back) but anyways my hair is really hard to manage because it's a cross between wavey and almost curly sometimes so I have to use certain products to control it. :L if I simply wash my hair and all that+ brush it it'll be frizzy still no matter what I do.. honestly it's more like a chore than fun managing it.
I love short hair on girls. I can't pull it off though... Only some can.
If done right it looks great. Please do it right.

I totally agree. Whether any person on this tells me to do it or don`t, I`m going to do what I want to do. I am just curious what people think, and I totally respect everyone's opinions & preferences here.
If you can pull off the pixie cut, by all means go ahead. I think it's cute on only few though

I know a girl who wears her head very short against her head, but people often confuse her for a male, seeing that she has a unisex name
By all means, go ahead. Personally, I think it's very nice and edgy.
I find girls with shortish hair kind of cute actually. Above ear is a bit too short for my tastes. But I see nothing wrong with it. There's no reason boys have to have short hair and girls have to have long hair.

No prob bob. I can post results. I was thinking about doing it soon, I`m quite confident about how the outcome turn out, but if I don`t like it, hair will always grow back! Right? I`m only 14 I have tons of time for regrowing. ^_^
Edit: @above I don`t really have an idea, I`m going to look into for a couple of days. I think I`m just going to take a risk and let the stylist use my head as a canvas. I don`t want some crazy artistic cut though. Like I mentioned above, hair does grow back!
I have straight long hair, and was thinking of getting an A-line bob cut. But then I didn't because someone else I knew had it, and I didn't want to look the same. And it's getting cold now. My worry about getting a shorter hair cut is that my hair doesn't have that much volume, so it'd just look kinda flat and stuck to my head if I didn't bother to do any styling. Since you say you have curly hair, you probably won't have that problem. Do you have any particular cut in mind that you want to get?
I think most girls with short hair actually look pretty cute, especially if they have glasses... <3

Mildly short hair for girls would be fine IMO. (Like shoulder length)
But few girls look good in short hair(Like guys)

Unfortunately, my curly hair limits me to do many of the things I`d like to do with my hair. But it does give me the advantage of having interesting texture..?

My ma has short hair and her hair is extremely curly, I inherited her type of hair. I`m guessing I`ll look fine.
