Great Idea for nexon to be able to clear room for names
Nexon could do :
1.Set the required characters to 3
2.Have a month early announcement saying that people will have to log in their character and tell the maple admin npc that they want to keep their name, or else in the next month nexon will clear everyone's name, and they'll have to make a new one in the character screen. Making inactive people lose their igns. And for the next 2 weeks, it will show their previous name so friends and guildies don't forget each other.
3.allow _ in names.

I'd rather they have some conditions.
1) Account has been inactive for over 4 years.
2) Account has had priors.
3) Confirmation of deletion sent via e-mail or via an event in game. (opening a note perhaps)
etc
many other criteria can be drawn up for account deletion.

I don't idolize someone who has beat Maplestory, something we all could do if we really tried. But that's just me.

Only thing I'd say should change for IGN's is to open up banned IGN's and make separate world's have a separate IGN base. Other than that it's fine. First come first serve, be creative.

what about people taking a couple months off of maplestory? Just taking a break, you come back and its all gone
I think you'd have better luck inventing a time machine and getting all the good IGNs before they are taken.
That wouldn't work because of all the level 200s that don't really play anymore
