It is a shame they ruined the party quests. I met all my friends through party quests. That was where all the cooperative people played.
Is it just me, or have i seen you specifically venting anger about nexon and maplestory with every remote chance you have?
A lot of people who "hate" Nexon have already left the game, or are venting on forums like this guy. I'm kind of like eh, at least it's still kind of fun, even though there's not many people to play with in my world. At least bossing is a good way to make money now. Also, by remote, do you mean far from where Nexon can see it? Instead, I would say "grabbing every chance he can get."

OT: You should probably recommend your friend to play MS2 when it comes out, since I presume many young kids will play it, before it all gets jacked up again by hackers, mean people, etc.
But.. if your friend can, I recommend her to play this game with her friends instead and meeting other people through those friends. This game's all about grinding now, so not many people except friends in real life talk with each other (a.k.a Hene hoes and grown-ups, and others).

Advice:
1. You kind of have to kiss their bootys if you want them to be nice to you (be funny and say funny stuff). That's what I do sometimes, because otherwise, they ignore you since you're not "important" to them.
2.Don't spam at them to get their attention.
No, everyone's right. The game is a lot less friendly and light-hearted than it used to be. Why? 'Cause it's pay-to-win now. When you implement that kind of system it results in arrogant and 'elitist' players. The current 'minority' or 'newbs' (as in, people that don't have high ranges or are covered in NX) are constantly undermined and dismissed as irrelevant. It's a vicious circle that reinforces the arrogance 'cause those once new, innocent players conform to the idea that you have to look a certain way or hit a certain number to be successful in Maple. You can see similar corrupt, backwards model in today's economics and societies.
@scottzay that's what im talking about though, you give people advice or tell them they are doing something wrong they just cry and report you for being mean.

@Nfeeble It's not more pay2win than it ever was before in the past, but rather more people are capable of paying. The age of the average mapler has definitely gone up compared to pre-BB, which has indirectly resulted in a widening gap between the rich and poor. However, keep in mind that Nexon has implemented some features designed to balance the game a little more, like the star force enhancement system and adding new cheaper equipment sets. The community isn't really that bad, it's on par with what you would find in the real world.

I think if you introduce a friend try to keep them away from other players until they get a grasp of the game, or just straight up warn them this game's a b****

oh no. In League the toxicity increases the lower your elo is. Challengers RARELY have that problem. @Scottzay it's not that the league community isn't toxic, but then again you have that one person who gets so pissed about a loss that he says things like "Go Die, "I hope you mother/Father have whatever disease." (this is after the game)The League community has a handful of extremely angry kids.

Not all people are friendly as before. You just need to find the right people, and maybe an active guild.
