Are there any good apps for my Chinese parents on Ipad?
I just got my parents an Ipad. My parents only know Chinese. Are there any chinese basilers that know any good apps that I can put on my parent's ipad? Any newspaper apps like Singtao, or chinese video apps? I feel like this Ipad will be paperweight for them...
you should've bought it from china so that they can use the chinese app store
(my mom does that crappy thing on her iPhone)
not really, all they need is a Chinese account, which shouldn't be too hard to make.

My Chinese Aunt always plays that game.
Its pretty simple too so I guess they wouldn't have that much of a hard time figuring out how to play.
SAME OMG my Chinese aunt is totally into candy crush! and i thought she was just weird lol bc i've never heard of an aunt who got so into gaming before (she is in her late 50s) and i guess she's not the only one.
I believe there's this application called PPS. They can watch asian/chinese television shows on that.
Give them Facebook, Youtube, some crappy game, and install the Chinese keyboard for them. Seems to work on other types of Asian parents.
get this 3rd party app pronounced something like "tuneboo" (it's chinese so i have no idea or to spell it) but you can get free apps and it a 3rd party app store.
I use PPTV. There's another one called PPS that might be better.
Youdao dictionary works even offline. That would replace the electronic dictionaries, I suppose.
Flipboard for news (amazing if you follow several news sources/people) over on twitter
dictionary app
