Got new laptop. How do I keep the battery healthy?

I heard its bad to leave the computer charging at 100% so I charge the laptop to 100% and then unplug it till it gets to around 20% and then I recharge it back to 100% and then unplug it till it get to 20% and repeat. Before bed, I turn off my laptop with whatever % that it is at and leave it unplugged throughout bedtime (should I plug it in before I get into bed? regardless of %?) When I wake up I turn it on and if it is at 20% then I'll charge if it is above then I'll wait till it gets to 20% and then charge it. Is this a good routine to keep the battery healthy or is there another routine that is better? I want this battery to last because my last laptop's battery dies after 2 minutes.

That is true with older laptops. Not particularly with new ones. But make sure you don't expose your laptop to extensive heat as that can decrease the laptops battery life span.

Lithium ion batteries have a limited number of charges cycles before dying (from 10-20% to fully charge is consider one cycle, it counts more if you don't allow it fully charged). The number is around ~500 charges. If you are at home and not need to take your laptop from your desk, you should have the battery fully charged then remove it from the laptop and use the AC power to power your laptop without the battery. Make sure to put the battery back into the laptop to charge around once every 3 months so the charge level won't fall below critical.

I keep my laptop plugged in constantly, and the battery's still just fine, though my laptop is designed to be plugged in all the time basically (gaming laptop).
The thing is my battery is non removable. Or a least it doesn't follow the warranty and I have to unscrew a bunch of things.
Then you're doing the right thing by maintaining normal electrical flow. Continue doing what you are already doing.

You heard wrong. That's for older laptops. Laptops have been using some lithium-ion battery for years which shouldn't be drained. Never let it die either.
And like everyone said, take out the battery if it's plugged in. But if you do this, make sure you don't have unsaved documents just in case your power goes out.
