Oh hi there.
So recently, I got an urge to start a drawing...inspired by Spring. (Yay) I was experimenting with coloring, mainly with the hair. For those who are wondering, she is wearing a chiffon top (so it is slightly transparent) with a bandeau underneath. I just wanted to change it up, and it seemed to fit the season. .. This hair is not out yet, but I thought it would be fun to draw. Yes...I need to work on that anatomy. -3-

While creating this, I decided not draw people who requested. ;-; I think I have lost track of those requests, so I'm thinking if you guys still want one, just PM me. I'll select one person, based on interest. AND. Warning: I do not know how long it will take.

And ALSO. ^^ Done on SAI Paint Tool. No tablet so I used a mouse instead. (I'm still looking forward to buying a tablet in the future.. maybe?)
Used vector layers and pen tool.

@Crude Aha. Thank you. Well, I have been experimenting with new and more efficient ways of coloring the hair. What I have been using recently is... 1.) Use the Vector layer to create the base. So just create the shape of the hair. 2.) Use more vector layer to create the highlights and shadows. 3.) Erase and blur those where it is needed. But then again.. this is pretty basic. xD I also sometimes use the pen tool... and change the texture to rough_vertical. (I think that is what it is called?) Then I set that to a low density and just do stroke after stroke.
In the end.. I get lots of layers. (Maximum layers ) So.. I just organize them into folders labelled back hair, front hair, bangs, etc. to find them easier.

@currified Aha. Yes. I did want the eyes to stand out. They were the reason why I began this picture. (I drew them first.)
Yes. I know her shirt doesn't really stand out compared to the background, but I love the soft colors.

I even tried to put the sunglasses on her face to see how they would look like.. (Didn't turn out that well.) I guess they're just for the design/detail?
