are you afraid of talking to people
ya.
I mean like, when you call people on the phone or email people other than your friends.
I think it's such a problem for me that I always hesitate and delay emailing professors and professional references for things like applications, which is bad since these things are competitive and you need to apply as soon as possible.
I just hate ringing up people who I don't talk to and sucking up to them!
Since basil is full of loners, I just wonder if this is a commonly shared trait

No, I'm a pretty personable person but I do agree that I sometimes slightly hesitate with a few things and prolong them longer than necessary, but it doesn't stem from fear of people, rather fear of rejection when it involves something I'm very much invested in. Ex. I've been meaning to submit an application for volunteering position for discharge at a hospital and I have most of my references, but I've had them for over 2 weeks now...
YES! T~T i get all nervous and stuff. i usually write down an quick outline of what i plan to say beforehand lol.
@MissMaylie: I need to check up with a doctor to make sure. I may have Asperger's.

I'm great at talking to people face to face, but I can get pretty awkward when it comes to phones.
Yeah, I have the same problem.
Mostly feels like that, although sometimes I think "screw it, gonna do it".
I don't like talking to anyone.
Friends and family included.
It's not that I'm afraid/have no confidence.
I just don't like verbal communication.
