Weiss Schwarz Tcg? Mtg?
Anyone collect these? I saw nisekoi ones and they look nice. I was looking for a new tcg to collect. Not yugioh because yugioh has been terrible since XYZ.
I feel like a more popular game will be better to collect in the long run (MTG for example.)

I have a SAO WS deck but no one else plays it since its kind obscure

@Ness: thanks for the clarification. i dont really know that much about this since where im from, MtG is the game to play. and yugioh, but whatever about that. when i skimmed through it, i was thinking more of in the mind of comparing the prices to modern and edh, not standard.

You can skim through any MTG set and find the same.
The cards that are worth money are the ones that are actively played, and hit $5-15 a pop, and cards above RR rarity are just for pimping out decks, as they have R and RR counterparts.
Decks cost you About $150-$300, which is like MTG standard pricing, except they don't rotate out.
They are, however, like Yugioh, in the sense that there's a power creep, and older decks become obsolete.
@mmorpg: you should give FE a try. its a good way to pass time. right now, the first FE set will only have characters from awakening and from marth's era. as for a site to buy cards, trollandtoad is a decent place. i just checked and they have the weiss schwarz cards.
@griffin8373 @Irony im curious but what do you guys mean by expensive? i quickly skimmed through some of the prices and they seem cheap at trollandtoad. most cards are less than a $1, around 35 cents each.

I wanted to get one of the signed nisekoi cards. I hear those are a low rate though. I searched it on ebay and it's like $80-100 per card. </3 Maybe I'll just buy a few singles or booster packs. What's a good site to buy singles from?

The Fire Emblem TCG looks amazing. Although I never finished a FE game (got halfway through awakening and FE:GBA) so I don't really know the characters. And the cards aren't in English.
i dont really collect cards from card games with the exception of MtG. so far, i have gotten cards for a soldier edh, elves edh, and the creature types for a kaalia edh (angel, demon and dragons). right now, im thinking of looking cards for an edh for the following types: goblin, wizards, and zombies.
if you're looking for nice art, the Fire Emblem card game that was announced and revealed has some nice looking art. im considering buying these for the sake of collecting.

Not only that, but you don't really get a lot of cards from the packs themselves, compared to MTG or others.
If you're hunting for SPs, you're better off buying them, considering that the rates are about 2-4 SPs per carton (16-22 boxes depending on the set and number of SPs in the specific set), or 1 in 6 triad decks.
I only have 1 SP, and I got lucky off of a Log Horizon TD.
If you want shinys, just get extra packs because they're all foil cards, but you get fewer cards.

Look for people in your local scene, I know some of my friends are involved in the local scene here.
And it's also quite expensive btw.
Playing and collecting Weiss is cheaper than playing and collecting MTG.
I collect and play Weiss Schwarz competitively, I play a bakemonogatari deck. I don't suggest collect Weiss though, since it gets REALLY expensive.
Xyz is actually pretty cool.
they just give anything a card game nowadays -.-
