Getting a new laptop

Hello basil so for my birthday im getting a new laptop and i've decided on getting this model:

I've read the reviews and its got 4 out of 5 eggs, and it's at a decent price in my opinion, since my budget aims to be 700 and under. I can maybe go to 800 but thats pushing it.
So i just wanted to know what do you guys think about it, and if you think there's a better version i should get; I'm looking for a laptop that can play games such as LoL, Diablo 3, SC2, all that good stuff. I just need a good enough one so i can get solid fps and have the game run at an enjoyable level, not looking for HD graphics and hardcore gaming stuff.
One model i've seen somone say is pretty similar to the one i posted above is the MSi CX61

Its a few dollars more than the acer but idk if it will be any different.

Any opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated since this is the first laptop im choosing for myself
@yennox: i see, then most likely ill look for a 15 one; do you have a regular laptop or an ultrabook? because a poster above suggested an ultrabook but idk if thatll make much difference for gaming? (not hardcore gaming, but majority like LoL and SC2)
I have a regular laptop. Ultrabooks didn't exist back then.

The problem with getting an Ultrabook for gaming is that they're tailored for portability and battery life. Most of them don't come with (decent) dedicated graphics cards, which are almost essential for anything released in the last 2 years even at medium settings.

If you're looking for any form of gaming, I would suggest at least an Nvidia GT 640M. If you can find an Ultrabook with at least that, then you should be good to go.

I'm not familiar with AMD chips, so I can't help you there.

I would go with the MSI one for the slightly better graphics card. A 17.3" laptop screen is huge.
@mrpebbles: I havent looked into ultrabooks yet, thanks for this reference!

@yennox: i dont mean like carrying around me all the time, i just dont wanna have to transfer a desktop to home and then to school, i just wanna be able to transport easily from place to place once in a while you know? But yeah i noticed that its pretty heavy laptop lol
If you're going to bring it with you for more than 1 day a week, you will need to get something lighter. I have a 13.3", 4.4lb laptop from 2 years ago, and I still find it too heavy for my liking to bring to Uni every day.

15.6" is more for bringing 'every once in a while'. 17.3" is just insane.

At 17.3" and 7.05lbs, you won't be bringing it anywhere, buddy.

Hardcore gaming can kill a laptop. Mine hardly works and I played two games.
