Luminous

Post-Tempest. Luminous Vs BattleMages

Would a luminous outdamage a battlemage with the exact same equips?

Btw I need some financial assistance for my luminous in Khaini. Or potion donations would be even better.

Battle Mages destroy every other mage class after they get their Hyper Skill, which is basically a Final Attack on steroids with no cooldown.

My Jr. Boogie familiar coupled with the cheap pots from being an alchemist means my BaM never runs out of MP, but Boogie's vitality depletes far too quickly due to BaMs not being a ranged class so I often have to run into the cash shop to recharge it's vitality, which is annoying, but better than potting all the time. As far as I know, Luminous beats BaM hands down in training, at least at this point, because of insane skills like Reflection and their massively ranged Teleport coupled with that 3rd job light arrow hurricane skill, but at bossing BaMs would win for sure, especially after the Luminous nerf. BaMs are overall a balanced class so we don't see much in nerfs and the like, Luminous has some nerfs to look forward to though, if I remember correctly.

Well said brotha, well said. We can train just fine as BaMs just not with that crazy range Lumi has. But when its time to go bossing ... We show Luminous who's boss.

instead of CCing, you can just enter and leave the cash shop. it will recharge your familiar if it was still summoned when you entered the cash shop.
as long as the boogie is summoned, you won't need any pots on your luminous.

@Maplespirit with Equilibrium nerf, not really (when it comes to bossing). if the mobs are packed, not really either. they definitely have their advantages though

Definitely, Luminous are the most powerful mages in my opinion.
You could also get an Evan to 120 (or is it 100 now?) for the S rank card. The insanely high MP of a Luminous coupled with the fairly low MP costs means that you'll never run of MP unless you have to tank a 15k+ damage hit.
Its 120, Evan's were unaffected by the change to job levels because they have so many.

Yes, my Luminous out damages my Battle Mage by a lot.

@MrDelp: Another thing you could do is CC with your familiar still out and then resummon it. For some reason that fills up its vitality again.

Kinda hard cuz I'll be training in ABC5/6 for the next few levels and there are no platforms ..

Do you have 3 orbs? if not then get 3 orbs. i'm a 4th job luminous and i never use potions of any kind unless i'm azwaning and tank a hit that depletes my mp.
