Positive: Good use of textures Good choice of colors Good concept
Negative: -Inconsistent lighting. The sun is in the background so it should have back lighting. Since he has metal armor, the back lighting would be stronger than if it was a different non-reflective material.
-Inconsistent material coloring. Metal is a highly glossy material, and has more contrasted lighting. It's also a bit too blended. Blending can do worse than it can do good. A good practice is to not blend at all and draw entirely with solid colors.
-Inconsistent background blending. He seems to be in a sandstorm, or at least brewing up a lot of wind. The wings don't show indication that he's in a sandstorm, it should be blended more into the background.
-In plate armor, it is especially difficult to turn the head. In medieval times, those with heavy plate armor such as this would always turn their torso to change their viewing direction. The head is usually never turned more than 45 degrees in coordination with the torso. His head is currently faced more than 90 degrees in correspondence with the torso, which is actually impossible. It should be turned more towards the viewer.
-The wing direction does not correspond with the body direction.
-Cropping is actually a form of art. Many photographers actually take a class on cropping properly to create the best focal point. The wings are pretty oddly cropped. Overall it's a simple process here because the background is dust, sky, and sun. But if the background was say, a very complicated one like on the Nova planet, then your focus may be off.
Th reason the head looks off is because it isn't in the "Maple-Style". If he made the head bigger and didn't make the torso look so erm... fat... it would look much better in my opinion. But this is pretty epic anyways. That trailer inspired me to actually make one lol, and I don't like Kaiser at all, but that trailer....

@lastrival1 ROFLMAO
Kaiser of Pantheon , Zabuza of the Mist?
@stoppostingnow:
How does it not? o.o
He looks a little stubby. I wish you had elongated the body, legs and arms to give him a more elegant look.
I find this picture really beautiful.
His wep has a straight slant on the top to be more perfect but it is still great !
dwarf kaiser much?
Great job, but the head is kind of off.
Sword looks heavy af.
this is awesome

I hope this critique helped.
Shouldn't the sword be at least 19 times bigger than his body?
First time I see kaiser as a Samurai~~
words cannot explain the epicness of this drawing
He always reminded me of kain from ff 4

So swxy!
1337. I less than three the atmosphere in this. You did a great job of replicating the trailer using just a picture! +1
