What does it mean to upgrade graphics drivers?

I've been trying to install bluestacks and it won't let me unless I upgrade my graphics drivers or something. I though drivers were apart of hardware so I'm weary about upgrading it. Idk tech lol, I'm terrible with technology! Can someone tell me if there is any risk in upgrading my graphics driver thanks!

Graphics > AMD, INTEL, NVIDIA : check their website, all three have an automatic driver detection/installation tool

run dxdiag to find out what's your graphics card and go to the manufacturer's website (like, if it's intel go to the intel website) and find the drivers for that specific graphics card

A driver is software that operates or controls a particular type of device that is attached to a computer.

There is no risk, only reward to upgrading, usually.

You have to make sure you install the correct driver for your device and make sure you install it correctly because a corrupt driver can lead to bsod's.
