This generation sucks at long-term relationships
Just check out divorce rates in the US and observe of briefness of most high school/college relationships.
Then there's the hookup culture and the fact that bovine droppings like [url=http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/28/living/online-dating-part-time-relationship]this[/url] exist on our planet.
A lot of people in this generation either just suck at choosing partners, or they just don't work hard enough with their partner.
I seriously hope you guys don't fall into the aforementioned categories.

Stick a line, starting from 1980 and ending at present day, that best fits the data.
It's a line with a negative slope.

That graph seems to be going up, how does it prove that we are better at holding marriage?
Man that's a really dated view of romance you have, TS. Monogamy isn't a goal that everybody shares, but how is "hookup culture" even a detriment to that? If I'm going to attempt to share my life with someone, I'm perfectly happy with the brevity of any incompatible relationships I might have until then.
The divorce rates aren't from people of this generation...
Write down the break up rates among high school and middle school and college kids right now.
Come back in 15 years and see what the divorce rate is.
I think teens are trying too much wacky stuff like long distance, and different schools, etc.
Plus people create drama.
Honestly I've never had a girlfriend, but if I did it would probably be someone who's company I love, and I don't see why I'd ever break up with them.

Me and my girlfriend have been dating a year as of five days ago.
So not everyone in our generation sucks at long term relationships.
Note: I'm a freshman in college and she's still in high school and we still made it work.

Just because divorce rates are higher doesn't mean that people are having worse relationships, there are wayyyy more variables to that. Correlation =/= Causation, any stat teacher can tell you that...
