18 and parents wont let me have girlfriend
Not gonna go over too many details, but here are the key points:
* I'm 18, she's 17.
* We've been friends for 2 years, but I broke out of the friend zone with her fairly recently.
* Now official BF/GF, but my parents are forbidding me from having a relationship in general
* Parents have an enormous history of being overprotective.
So, what can I do to convince my parents that there's nothing wrong with having a girlfriend?
They think my grades will slip because she's gonna be some "huge responsibility", but me and her respect eachother's space for studies.
They think I'm gonna do raunchy things with her, but me and her have already talked about this and agreed not to.
Hell, they won't even allow me to hold hands with her.

Ask them if they want you growing up to be some socially inept virgin who will never move out of the house?
A way for them to approve your relationship is you get more mature and maybe start living on your own as to prove that having her in your life makes you a more reliable person.

Tell them that you are old enough to know what you are doing.
Ask them if they want YOU to live a healthy life. They should be grateful that you are going through a good road and asking them RATHER than doing drugs.
Because as far as they should be concerned you're not doing anything wrong, not having sex (USE PROTECTION BOYY), doing drugs, drinking, and being a hoodlum..
Should have dropped an "I'm gay" bomb first, then say you were joking and that you actually have a girlfriend.
