'Many of the popular NPCs have been moved to the Event Hall.
You can get to the Event Hall through the Dimensional Mirrors in major towns.

Hopefully this get's rid of much of the town lag, what do you guys think?

Laptops have a higher rate to suffer from town lag. That is all. It has to do with the integrated chip sets involved in them.
Also I've played on a laptop without integrated chipsets and there was still town lag. (from 2010 with a 330m gt card)
Again comes down to optimization. Some cards run it well some don't. (most int chipsets don't) But not everyone can afford a new card just for maple.

I would like to point out that that isn't quite right. I have both a desktop PC and a laptop, yet I only have town lag when playing on my desktop PC (and not my laptop).

I have a 1+ grand laptop and I lagged in towns for like a day.

Yeah, but at the moment you're pretty much limited to what you can do. It's not like killing CZak or normal RA is all that fun.
Also, she's so wrong about better computers. It's the way maple is optimized. If you don't have a specific card or if you play on laptop then you're screwed.

i remember some guy had a gtx titan and i7 somethingsomething-k and loads of ram, he couldn't get the game to load l0l
Supposedly running on a GTX 560 with a quad core processor with a 7+ megabit connection is not enough for maplestory but playing Black ops 2 maxed out is? better computer my butt

I sure hope we can hand in the quests from the left side of our screen, or else that really is going to be a hassle.

Even people with better computers experienced the lag. Plus who would get a better computer for a free to play game?
Well, since all the town-lagger are ALL GOING TO BE IN ONE MAP... looks like handing a quest in won't be so easy
everyones going to be on the event hall so just talking to one of those will be almost impossible.
inb4 people complain about event hall being too laggy
