Do the Chaos dark knight skills still penalize slashing?
I read about some new skill for Dark Knights that's like a 4th job replacement for their current Dragon Buster. It's supposed to be faster, yet more powerful.
However, I know it _used_ to be the case that Polearms stunk for stabbing (took a damage penalty), and spears stunk for slashing (took a damage penalty). So, certain DrK skills kinda forced you to use a certain weapon.
My question- does anyone have any information on whether the new skill is a stab or slash? Also, does this penalty even exist anymore, or am I totally outdated in my info?
I'm wondering because if they've removed the annoying stab/slash penalties for Dark Knights when using polearms/spears, then PSBs might be a great weapon for Dark Knights.
I'll definitely make an end-game worthy PSB then, since I'll be able to use it on multiple characters. (That's usually my criteria for investing a ton in any given item- if it has reuse value, then I'm willing to invest).
Thanks for any info anyone might have!
@shosen123 @cheesebits Thanks, that means I could use them now on my Dark Knight without even having to wait for Jump (which, as @xidamex points out, is actually quite a ways away).
@eotgw Thanks, yeah, that's the thing that talks about the new skill, but it didn't say slash or stab. But, I guess if they equalized stab and slash in BB (I'm hopefully out of date I guess!), then it doesn't matter. That's probably why Spadow didn't mention it, since it simply doesn't matter. Damage is damage now.
And by the way, it's not in Chaos, it's in Jump, which I'm guessing will be in late December.

Does this help?
I heard they made it 100/100 for each weapon or something, so drk's are free to use polearms without having to worry about a penalty.
