Question about ignore def

i dont know if im thinkin wrong. But make it sense to get more than 100% ignore Def? o.o

i mean 100% is 100%
example
Monster got 1000 DEF <-> u ignore 100% means 1000 DEF
if u got 110% ignore u cant ignore more than 1000 DEF or not?

or making more dmg then?

sry for bad gramma.....

thanks in advance

Depending on the boss' defense, either might be better. There should be a breaking point in the boss' defense according to your range in which you'll deal more damage using the 88% ignore def.

It'll require you to know how defense works and whatnot though and it'll be a bit too much math

i got atm 118% boss damage
and 67% ignore def

should i switch to
98% boss dmg
88% ignore def

?
Is that 67% what is shows in the stats tab? You should get more % def ignore, but I wouldn't throw out +20% boss damage for it.

@n1ma: Don't worry about it too much, you seem fine at what you have right now.

I would look up some previous threads that explain how PDR works, but I don't feel like finding a good post that explains it well. If I do, I'll link it to you.
EDIT: I guess you should read this to get a general idea.
It is not showing your true %def ignore stat properly right now.
Each source of %ignore def multiply together instead of adding, so you will never reach 100%.

Pre unleashed, 100% pdr in your stats tab meant 100%
Post unleashed, the stats tab show your pdr additive when it actually is supposed to be multiplicative
it's literally impossible to reach 100% post unleashed, even tho the stats tab tells you so
