Maths Help - Probability
Group of boys and girls were given a maths test. The group of 40 girls had an average score of 76% and the group of 60 boys had an average score of 56%.
Find out the average score for the combined group.
The answer is 64. Can anyone tell me how they got this answer?

I got 64 by doing this..
Total amount of girls (40) x 0.76 = 30.4
Total amount of boys (60) x 0.56 = 33.6
33.6 + 30.4 = 64
