Are merchants psychic? Are there sensors/surveill in the Fm?
I swear every single time I close shop, someone pops up and takes the spot. I've noticed it when others close their hired merchants as well - someone comes into the room and tries claim the spot. They definitely know... but how?

Could be a hacker teleporting and opening a spot or could be someone giving their friend a spot.
When I give people a spot, I whisper them and count down:

0
And then I close and they open up immediately.
maybe the person thought you were being nice and gave them the spot
so they took it HEHE

There are probably 10-15 "popular" FM rooms, so basically, you just need about 15 people simultaneously looking for an FM spot in order to have nearly immediate replacement. Now think about how likely this is in Scania, the most populated world. Pretty likely right? See, basic probability.
