BIshop to F/p mage?
I'm thinking of making a bishop since it would be a lot easier to level and then eventually switch to F/p mage so..
does anyone know how much it costs to switch?
would there be any negative consequences?

I would just lvl as bishop to however high you would want, i guess around 210+
and wait for an event that gives job change coin to change to f/p
You can only job switch after level 101 and as long as you are an explorer class (including Dual Blade and Cannoneer) you can do a job switch; in short, you can change from Bishop to Fire Poison or Ice Lightning. Beginning at level 101, the cost is 10,000,000 mesos and the price increases after every level and, I think, with the number of job changes you do. After the switch your SP will be reset (I don't know about AP) and you will need to purchase all mastery books again (so if you raise Maple Warrior to 30, your points will be reset to 0 [b]and[/b] you will need to purchase the Level 20 and 30 mastery book again). The only downside to job switching, in general, is the cost associated with the switch for the job change itself and the mastery books you will need to buy. However the skill points you have accumulated to that level will be there; you only have to reallocate them.
It is better, financially speaking, to job switch as early as you can (level 101). For your situation specifically, leveling will be very, very slow, though if your funds are not sky high it will be far easier to boss post 4th job as an F/P. My personal opinion is that, as much as the cost may be, later, do NOT job change until after SDH levels; training as a F/P is rather difficult and much faster as a Bishop as you are always welcome in parties at high level training areas and you might be able to make a bit of money (if you are in need of some mesos and there are some generous players in your party). It's just easier to gain levels and you can focus on just bossing if you job change to F/P late-game.
@NeozWarriorx Bishop belongs to "cleric" job branch and f/p mage is "fire/poison". It's recommended to buy a lv 100+ shield as a secondary so that it can be used by both jobs. Skill books are available in general store.

Bishop and F/p mage are in the same branch right? Since they're both mages? and the skill books are available in henesys or leafre right?
