So, some razor products for my computer, good Idea?

I plan to get the Razor Blackwidow 2013 edition as a keyboard and the Razor Ouroboros for a mouse, I know there have been a lot of negitive things about the mouse but I think I can handle those things, turning off for litterally half a second when there's too much wireless activity going on in the house doesn't seem like a problem too me. The charging dock is nice, it has good performance from what I hear and its better for people with big hands which I have so there's that, is it a good mouse? and for the blackwidow 2013, its pretty, and its a mechanical keyboard with macro buttons, sure its a little expensive but it seems like a decent buy. Any help on if i should get these products basil?

@Neuro: If you like the LED's, look here. These are great for FPS gaming. http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/search.php?man=27&in_stock=on

@SoulXIV: I looked at some of the keyboards you linked me, they're nice for sure but I'm not sure if they're my style tbh.

There's no apparent issues on the Blackwidow if it's the first mechanical keyboard they've owned-and for most, that's just the case, but however like I said before the case isn't too good, the stabilizers are garbage, it's not Tenkeyless (Which makes it terrible for gaming), and they've never offered MX Reds (Which makes them terrible for gaming, well, in most peoples' opinions).

No, it is an awesome keyboard, the green lights looks cool, macros are very easy to reach. Since it is a mechanical keyboard, it also sounds great. When you press onto the key, you can hear it clicking. Although I am not very used to it

@Above Again the Das keyboard isn't as good as it used to be, they're cutting corners now.
@Neuro If there are any local computer stores many of them will carry mechanical keyboards, so you should try some out there because everyone has their own preference. The reds and blacks (Preferred for gaming) are linear, meaning there's no click or bump when you press the key, while the blues have both click and bump, and the brown has just the bump. If you love FPS you'll love Tenkeyless/60%, it just feels a lot more natural, and the smaller keyboard size will help you play better than getting any full size gaming keyboard.

Are you sure you prefer the LED's for keyboard flashiness? For $120 (Price of BW Ultimate) you can get a QFR and a nice set of keycaps. Here's a thread with some QuickFire Rapids with aftermarket keycaps, maybe it'll change your mind

Let me know which one you prefer after looking at some of those boards, the LED's or modified keycaps. If you like the LED's still and do a lot of gaming I would recommend a KBT keyboard, Race/Poker/Pure.

Razer peripherals' designs are nice, but the quality isn't worth the price, imo. I have a corsair vengeance k90 and when you use it, you can tell the quality is much better compared to the blackwidow(my friend has a blackwidow). I'm using a Razer mouse though, which is the deathadder. I can't complain since i got it for 50.

I own a razer naga mouse, I am not a fan of wireless so I won't really comment on the ouruboros. It really depends what games you play.[/quote]

the DAS keyboard is really good if you are looking into keyboards.
Had one for four years and never broke anything. (Played a lot of RTS and moba games on the keyboard )

@Steven7x23: The cord charges it a long with the stand it comes with so I don't think that will be much of a problem.

@SoulXIV: I'm not really familiar with switches so I really wouldn't know what I'm looking for when it comes to them. I play FPS'S and MMO's so I think having a number pad and the macro buttons would be helpful, I don't plan on getting an orbweaver because Its quite expensive for what it is so there goes another option for extra buttons. I do enjoy pretty LED's though.

Wireless stuff, especially battery usually has terrible energy consumption.

Mouse is personal preference, so any brand is fine as long as YOU like it.

As for the keyboard, I would skip the Blackwidow Ultimate. I'm guessing since that you're getting the new mouse that you're going to do some kind of gaming. If you don't use the numberpad too much I would definitely recommend a TKL keyboard like a CoolerMaster QFR or a 60% keyboard like the KBT Race. If you like LEDs you can also consider the Ducky Shine 2. The Razer case isn't too good imo and the iOne stabilizers aren't as good as the real Costar ones/Cherry stabilizers. Also, decide on which Cherry MX switch you like, this is personal preference too, however for gaming only Cherry MX Red and Black is usually preferred and for typing Cherry MX Blue is the most common preferred switch. MX Green and Ergo Clear is supposedly a pleasure to type on but keyboards with those switches are harder to obtain. I would avoid Das now because they too have switched over to lower quality stabilizers to reduce cost. If you just want a solid cheap mechanical keyboard and don't mind not having the flashy cool-looking LEDs get a Coolermaster QuickFire Rapid and you'll have spare money to buy some aftermarket keycaps if you want.

Of course there are alternatives of good mice and other peripherals other than Razor
Like Corsair or Cyborg stuff
though all can still be over the top which makes pricey.
