It would be good if you could see what's causing the noise. If it's something touching the fan blades it might cause the fan to wear out prematurely, or cause overheating problems.
If a cable gets too close to the fan sometimes it can cause buzzing if it touches the blades, but that's pretty easy to see. Sometimes a lot of dust bunched up on the fan blades or behind the blades can cause noise like that. If it looks like there's a lot of dust in the fan you can use a fine brush (like a watercolor paint brush) to brush the dust out and carefully use a tweezers to pull out any clumps of dust behind the blades.

@NightmareMoon As the others said, when a hard drive is turned on and working, it's vulnerable to physical damage from being bumped like that.
It may have caused a "head crash" which unfortunately can be fatal to the drive.
Were you able to make the fan stop buzzing..? That's not a good thing either.
if its a Hard disk drive/ HDD there are 1TB drives for around 50 bucks. dont get scammed.

ill have to see
Edit: i looked inside and i dont see anything wrong
i made sure everything was plugged in tight i cleaned the inside a bit and looked at the fan to see if anything was bothering it since itwas making a weird buzzing noise[/quote]
There's the chance it was the hard drive and not the fan. In which case, you need a new hard drive. I'm assuming its a desktop so it shouldn't be that hard to replace, the price might be too much. I can help you pick one out if you want.
@NightmareMoon: Then I'm out.
replace the hard drive
