Are secondary equipments going to make shields obselete?

You can't wear secondary equips with your shield. However, the secondary equips don't have slots, so it's better to keep your shield if you've scrolled it decently. Also, shields will be able to get weapon potentials, so if you've already cubed it to unique/legendary, you should probably keep it and recube it.
I think they're a separate item slot. Could be wrong.

Shields gain weapon pot with that patch as well, Secondary Weapons would be more for shield-less classes.
Pretty sure you can wear it with your shield. Correct me if I'm wrong.
